Amazing all round! Great coffee, ambience and food! It's definitely one of my regular cafe choices. They're always trying to make the space more inclusive and inviting with a range of exciting additions like rooftop yoga on Saturday morning with the amazing Yogi Zaytoon and ofcourse their ATG nights with sheesha! My personal favourite on the menu will have to be the crumbed chicken bagel, constantinople eggs and their croissants. These are just a few of the rockstars on the menu for my palette but everything else is pretty amazing too! Be sure to try them out!

Had a great coffee today. Hidden gem. Fantastic atmosphere. Coffee was excellent and croissants were fresh. Bonus view of Bo-Kaap.

Absolutely incredible place - I’ve travelled to over 30 countries, this is the best place to serve fresh orange juice. The service is fantastic and very homely.Look out for the manager, Angelo - he was brilliant and welcomed us to Cape Town.Food is very filling, look out for the rooftop which provides a good view of bokaap.

Halaal in Bo Kaap,Best breakfast in Cape Town with sausage , egg, sourdough bread, steak and peppers fried, homemade hashbrown, its called Hey Salaam. Tasty. The order for a berry chai was not a great choice. The chai needs to be removed from the menus as it dsnt compliment the decor, quality of food, or service. I will definitely come back for more. Koesisters were small but delish.

This was a lovely restaurant with an extensive halal menu. I had a cheese steak sandwich which was really good. They also have an assortment of traditional desserts like koesisters. Would definitely visit again.

Your go-to Bagel spot. I've been to Against the Grain thrice. Two out of three occasions, it was good. My most recent visit was disappointing. Lunch time, they were out of juice. My bagel wasnot fresh either. I was starving and couldn't wait any longer. Honestly, I could've gone elsewhere. On the other hand, this is not always the case as their bagels are delicious. I'm not a gas person, nor do I prefer warm beverages on a hot day. I would return though, as they have fantastic views and game nights. Their decor is decent as well. The service wasn't bad as the waiter tried to assist as best as possible.
