The Enchanted Garden Convention Centre

Was beyond amazed at the venue. So pleased with the service and professionalism.

Venue is located at the old Durban airport. The building has been neglected. Terrible parking and facilities. The lift has not been repaired since July 2017 ( after the heavy storms) making it difficult for older people/people with disabilities to make it up the stairs to the venue. However, the food was good. Function room itself was a bit small but okay.

Awesome place for an outing. The food was delicious. Was my first visit and thouroughly enjoyed it. Was so good to see the Senior Citizens take the dance floor. Wednesdays is their day. Well worth it. I will surely go back there.

On the 13/12/2019 I had an event at (the old airport) Enchanted Gardens in isipingo, which was the worse experience ever!! I had heard / read so many good reviews about the venue hence the reason booking the venue for a function. I had 110 guests for a wedding eve dinner and dance and there was no electricity and water in the bathrooms, guests left early and this was such a disappointment as there was no water to even wash their hands after dinner yet alone go to the toilet. The ceiling is falling apart, the toilets where disgusting and when we approached salosh to advise her about the electricity and aircon, she was so arrogant and rude and shouted at me infront of my guests. There was no load shedding as there was electricity in the area and her employees kept saying they are using generators due to load shedding and then it was a problem with cables in the area.From a health point of view, in my personal opinion, Enchanted gardens is a health hazard, this was the worse experience ever. When I approached Salosh to ask her about the aircon and advising the guests where feeling uneasy as it was very hot in the venue, she even had the audacity to tell me “what the hell must she do”Food was served in a dining area which was in darkness and giving the state of the venue we did not know where the food was being prepared and this also posed as a major health hazard. We had to then tell her employees to move the tables and buffet station out of the dark room and into the function venue which made it even more hot as the chaffing dishes where in the same room as the guests.The urinals in the men’s toilet was clogged and little kids could not even use the toilets and parents had to leave early due to the need of the toilet. There was kettles in the bathrooms that had to be used for washing, I mean really? How must I tell guests to use kettles to was hands and flush the toilet?? At one part the generator ran out of fuel and we where running around whilst salosh had an event downstairs and sat comfortably whilst we had endless issues in our venue. I have images of the conditions but they are so disgusting that I don’t even want to post them! She showed no remorse or respect which I feel is totally unacceptable. Her employees are totally lost as they are in the frontline while she was enjoying her own function. Being the owner/ manager of an event company how do you speak to clients like that who are paying so much for a service? They should have atleast advised me of the issues and not have waited for me to go to the venue and find the place in such conditions. There was a lot of kids and elderly people at my function and so many of my guests left early due to the need of the toilet, and clean, running water which is a basic human right!! I was absolutely embarrassed and had to apologize to my guests, thank goodness it was family and friends that was supportive and understanding.

Now here's a place of entertainment, dining and dancing where you really let your hair down!!!The food is good, the hosts are most welcoming, excellent parking and security, wheel chair accessibility, clean rest rooms, smoking zones and adequate bar facilities.Dinner dance on a Saturday of every month end is a delightful occasion.The house band, Men In Black gets your feet tapping and your fingers snapping while the generous Management keeps the buffet running all night long!!!Drinks are moderately priced to make merry!!!Many a memorable occasion at the Enchanted Gardens.An entertaining dining experience!!!

Great venue to host a kiddies expo, food and drinks stalls were available as well as a host of activities for the kids

Very good arrangements. Plenty free parking. Sadly it's not well publicized. Hawkers are clingy and desperate because of poor support. Very good venue. Has potential. Management should take more initiative.

Had the privilege of being a part of my kids Eskom Science Fair at this venue - unfortunately in the midst of setting up, the lights went out in the area due to unplanned laid shedding. Ample parking space but poor control will leave many frustrated in no time.

Lovely place enough space for cars to park.. Seating not an issue. Bathroom clean and user friendly. To all those wanting to host big or small functions...this is the perfect place.

Good use of the old Durban International Airport, however with the potholes and uneven road to get there, it isn't doing your car any favors. Definitely needs some work as it looks more like The Abandoned Gardens" at the moment.PS. There is a small flea market that runs from there over the weekends"
