Orchard Stay

The Sunday morning open gardens are a must. Check on the website if its open on the Sunday you wish to visit . Delicious tea and cakes too!

I stayed at Orchard Stay the night before, and night of my wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better setting to get ready for my wedding, and to wake up to the next morning!The cottage is extremely well kitted out, has two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a fantastic stoep with a braai. If you’re looking for a place to escape from the world, then this is it!

Loved it!

What a fantastic property this is. While the photos are beautiful, wait until you see the house and its surroundings with your own eyes.The setting is incredibly charming: from the moment you enter the estate and drive through the orchard to when you arrive to the property and you’re welcomed by the sight of the pond in front of the house, you will be left stunned.The house itself is spacious, functional, tastefully decorated and it has everything you may need inside and outside. My favourite features are the patio, hot tub and the rain shower! Others will love the braai (barbecue grill) and the comfortable dining area, suitable for 6.Top tip: use the hot tub at night and spend some time looking at the stars. For us urbanites it was quite magical.Tammy and Guy are the perfect hosts - friendly, helpful, and very communicative.

We visited Adene's Farm Flowers as a special treat. It is a lovely outing. The flowers are amazing and I love the fact that Adene plants all the old fashioned varieties eg lace, zinnias and of course dahlias. It is wonderful to walk through all the beauties and I admire Adene for her dedication and hard work. I do however find the entry fee of R65 per person, children included unnessacary. Although a bunch of dahlias is included in the fee, it makes it an expensive outing for a family. And I would prefer to choose my own variety of flowers.

Finishings of super quality, beautiful setting, lovely house, but lack of detail here and there, like mirror where you can dry your hair, small carpet along side beds(floors are cement finishing and it is winter). I will go there again.

The most amazing place, the new hidden gem, and less than 2 hours from Cape Town! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Each en-suite bathroom has a rain shower (no water restrictions here!!!). The kitchen was nicely fitted with a gas hob and electric oven and the couches were immensely comfortable.Fireplace for cozy winter evenings, check. Plug points (incl USB points next to bedside, check. Free WiFi, check! On both sides, the doors fold all the way open, giving a true feeling of being outside, even while being inside. The lawn is a joy to just chill out and relax on.However what is truly special is the ambiance of the whole place. The little dam in front of the house is amazing, the perfect way to cool down on those hot summer days. The sunset over the dam was spectacular and the braai area was well utilized over the weekend there!What really made this place special was the 'wood fired hot tub' that we spent many hours in sipping wine in the evening. It was like sitting in a warm bath, sitting next to the fire and relaxing under the stars (which were beautiful away from the city lights) all in one.The owners were also really helpful and able to assist us as and when we needed help. Thank you for the most amazing place you have build here and we very much look forward to coming back soon.

Amazing and super relaxing

WOW!! I've been so excited to see these flowers and I was not disappointed. The most beautiful Dahlias, heirloom roses and lisianthus in bloom. The owner welcomes all visitors with a brief introduction to what they'll see during their visit.
