Good Equipment. Questionable Lecturers.Note: Do not do media here. When your lecturer asks what 4K means, doesn't seem to understand satire in media and picks on the kid with a disability... it's time to find a new place to learn. Do they even check who they're hiring?

Nothing but a business that uses Lynda which is a $10 per month educational website that has videos on many subjects. Yet you pay almost 20 grand for 6 months to listen to teachers who don’t know what they’re doing and watching Lynda in your free time. Absolutely abysmal do not go here it is just a money hole

I stepped into this university and felt welcomed instantly.By the end of the course I had everything promised. A plethora of skills, industry contacts and a proper portfolio.Beyond this, I found an invaluable resource. A support network that I believe will carry me through the years past my graduation.I cannot recommend this university highly enough

I’ve studied at SAE, 4 Trimesters now. The curriculum made it clear where I should be directing my attention in regards to understanding my craft and the film industry. I would not be the talent I am today if I had not studied here. SAE has helped develop my abilities to share my ideas clearly, advocate my point and pitch a project idea confidently to an audience.

I was unfortunate enough to do one of their sound courses when they were in Bennett Street. The attrition rate was astounding, too many to fit comfortably in a classroom, and not enough working computers for everyone on the practical side, yet from over 30 people this dwindled to about eight over five months before I decided I was wasting my time and money there.Nothing was prepared by the institute, their course information was just stolen from the web, and not even checked for mistakes. There were often computer issues and no written procedures for the DAW side of things. The computer in the main electronic module room didn't work despite the instructor trying for over an hour, yet this still constituted being shown" how to use it to control the outboard modules. It still didn't work weeks later when I went in to use it out of class hours. The instructors

I love learning from lecturers with industry experience! The courses are more expensive than other colleges, but the amount of equipment and resources available to students is astounding! No where else have I experienced a tertiary institute like it! I highly recommend SAE!

In short you would be much better off going to TAFE.Computers: can barley run the programs without overheating and going into a meltdown, so forget about doing anything of industry standard, the computers couldn't even play a video of my final project without overheating and stuttering the video.Render farm: doesn't exist, so be prepared to render for days over 12+computers, oh and fight off every other student in the process.Lecturers: good but extremely poorly managed and no where near enough of them.Timetable: if you enjoy figuring out which one of the 5 versions your friends got is the real one, then this is the place for you.Curriculum: what curriculum? They just stick you in a roomDegree: changed the name of my degree so much we had no idea what we were doing.Campus: the old building was making everyone sick, but the new building is in the most notorious place for unprovoked stabbings the state, seems like a sideways move.Industry connections: I'm still waiting to see any, this was the biggest let down as it is how we were supposed to get our name out there and eventually employed.Culture: toxic and counter productive attitudes from higher up staff, I was so stressed of not getting an adequate education and depressed at my job outlook I couldn't focus on anything let alone my portfolio, after going to a real uni for my masters in a different area, my ability to work artistically is slowly coming back. I doubt I will bother pursuing a career in this discipline because of it.Skills: just look it up on youtube" is the general response to anything beyond a beginner level question

In response to the fellow above. One would rather look to their own issues and thus gaming regret. Helping us to maybe, possibly analyze them to be better presented if everyone given the privilege of ACCESS TO funding which technically SIR is not YOU'RE MONEY. It is a loan with a 65% starter effort in you before even registering your name. The USI numbering system is a perfect example of the acceptable apathy that cones with being alive right now in 2020 so please don't just mock an entire school on social media because frankly, it's worse than getting kicked out. Which I think there are only one or two cases nationwide. I could be wrongBut I doubt itAnd apologize that I digressCiaoRe: not worth your money commenter +

Excellent University, quality teachers, compressed learning, just make sure if you’re a mature age student have your life sorted and don’t have multiple commitments. As the study workload is quite demanding (a good thing)
