Impodimo Game Lodge

Not only a great location, but beautifull lodges, stunning views and hide area near the water. The staff was very friendly, helpfull and professional. Game drives in open vehicles with a tracker and a ranger, perfect combination !!

We have had the amazing privilege of staying at Impodimo twice in the past year and we loved every minute of it! The very best bush experience, from the food to the accommodation to the friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is memorable. We loved the personal touches and how our guide went out of his way to make sure we saw the Big 5.

From our arrival until the sad moment when we had to leave, Shade, Simone, Lindie and our Guide and Tracker Meri and Sam, Made our stay incredible.The meals were culinary Joy's and the abundance of birdlife kept us on our toes.Sam found a chameleon in the distance at night which amazed the whole vehicle.An experience second to none. I would highly recommend Impodimo for a break away

Everything was just perfect! We had a lovely time at the lodge and really enjoyed our game drives with Sam.

We just spent 4 days there as part of our honeymoon and could not have been happier with our experience. The lodge has a limited number of guests that gives it a family like feel which is lovely. Our tracker Wilfried and ranger Ryan did their absolute best for us to get as many amazing memories as possible (male lion roaring few meters from us - how cool is that?) and we learnt so much from Ryan during the meals and drives. Lastly, the lodge has a hide near a water point where we could see the animals from incredibly close - unbeatable. Very highly recommend that place - great facilities, lovely staff and great reserves

The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. The views are unbelievable. The rooms are to die for and the game drives are unbeatable. You will not have a better Bush experience.

Spectacular! We've been on safari several times in South Africa but Impodimo and Madikwe topped them all. This review will never do it justice - it was heaven from start to (very sad) finish. I did A LOT research of pretty much every 'luxury' and 'ultra lux' lodge in Madikwe. Impodimo represented great value for incredible luxury. Also one of only a couple of lodges that's unfenced and provides trackers as well as guides in the park which is a bonus. The staff were so warm and couldn't have done more for us, from the wonderful Lyne during booking to the best guide we've ever had, (Sneaky) Ruben, so knowledgeable and friendly. The room and lodge were spectacular, we saw so much game over 4 days/nights and all of the many meals/snack times (including the wonderful surprise bush braii) were absolutely delicious. I'm allergic to gluten and for everything my husband could eat they'd made a gf free version (mini doughnuts, waffles, lemon tart, all the cakes). Best place I've stayed for gluten free. Madikwe (and Impodimo) over Kruger/Sabi Sands from now on, and I never thought I'd say that. We cannot wait to return!

By far one of the most magnificent settings.Rooms are a solid 10/10 with amazing views and wildlife close up.The food, is proper 5 Star level, with high tea being an amazing addition which consists of different treats daily. All in all I think the chef and kitchen staff for me as a foodie are just brilliant.Cocktails by the pool are lovely.They have an elephant hide (airconnded) which you’ll do well to find anything like it in the world. Ive tried.Game drives are lengthy and relatively informative, guides are very friendly and take the time to know you personally which is lovely. The animals you will see are magnificent.Massages are a must do as well.All in all a solid 10/10 from an extremely fussy traveler. Who will be visiting again next week :)
