Die Koffiekan
As a first-timer in Parys I was a little bewildered by the amount of coffee shops and stores to visit, and I was a little dismayed to find most eateries to be either packed to the brim or overpriced. Fortunately, we (family trip) stumbled upon Die Koffiekan". There was ample space available for us

What do You have against kids? My 7year old needed to use the toilet badly and my daughter 22 took him over and asked a waitron if she could pls use their toilet for him, upon which she was told she has to buy something, but it is ok.. so she proceeded. We where having coffee accross the street and the lady was busy prepairing our order and we did not see her to ask if she had a restroom and we did not know this facility, hence my daughter took him over to koffiekan. she came back, grabbed her wallet and walked to the garage to draw money so she can do the right thing to buy something from them. upon entering the owner was extremely rude and told her she was il-mannered and one does not simply walk into someone's house and use the restroom.. he then told her he doesnt want her to buy anything and she must leave. He was so rude that My 22 year old was in tears and shook to the core! May I just add Mr.. you broke down a girl with a huge Christian believe, an A grade student Potch in Pshycology and girl with MUCH better manners than You, Me and a couple of Your patrons! All she wanted to do is the right thing! Mr, You clearly have something against Woman and Kids, Your tazer (Yes Tazer and My husband and Brother-in-law went to confront him) wont help much if You just wind up the wrong person. For as long as my family is around, we will make sure that NO support is giving to you! I can only imagine how you treat Your staff and patrons if You can treat innocent kids like this! I am appaulled at Your behaviour and response and this on Human rights day! And NO I am not confusing You, Koffiekan Parys 66 Bree str, with another! By the way, do You sleep well at night?! DISGUSTED!!

Doing the street walk in Parys, the Koffiekan caught our eye.Being a bit of a coffee enthusiast, went and checked their coffee machines. Typical bean to cup machines, not the best, but would do just fine.Plenty of space, both large and small tables, a little terrace affair off to one side which the biker enthusiasts appeared to enjoy. Fair number of high end bikes parked in front i.e. not the lean an mean type. They do have a liquor licence, did not verify if it covers all liquors, but did see beers and wine on the tables. We only ordered drinks, Americano for myself, Latte and teas for the rest of the motley crew.Service was a little slow but they were at their peak time window. When the order arrived, everyone was satisfied, inclusive of my Americano, a fair creme, a little flat in flavour profile, otherwise not at all bad. Will try make time for a meal next time. Did note that their menu does accommodate for Bantings and Vegans which we found to be pleasantly surprising.

Delightful eatery with seating outside under a big old English oak. Service was brisk and friendly. The cortado with condensed milk rate as one of the best coffees I have had. The pancake breakfast with scrambled egg, bacon, green pepper, cherry tomatoes and onion filling was simply divine!

If you could eat the decor it would have been a good experience. However, the hashbrowns were soggy and oily. I did not even want to try the coffee as it is not brewed. You can only choose between instant and capsule coffee. Would not recommend at all.

Worst meal I have had that i can remember. Awful oily chips, rubbish tiny piece of chicken schnitzel. And not cheap! Shame that the 'ok' waitresses have to serve very bad food. Please don't own a restaurant if you don't at least try. Terrible.

Had just about the best milkshake to date. The waffles we had were excellent aswell. Peppermintcrisp for the win. Zander and his team really know what they are doing. 10/10 would visit again.

The service was amazing, the food was divine and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. We didn’t even wait 15min for our food and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a new favorite
