Its a small park with a small selective membership group.The park in general is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Primarily its mostly for fishing. The play park is a bit dated but its well maintained. As for the pool the water was a bit dirty and me being a germ freak its an issue. There is not much to do if you don't do fishing, but I did enjoy the tranquility of the great Vaal River that alone made the stay worthwhile.

A very nice place to go camping for fhe weekend or a day outing. It is not to far from town if you need some drinks or food. The stands is not marked and is a bit confusing but its nice. There is a lot of trees and good shading. There is enough ablution blocks for all the visitors. However the ablutions can use some upgrades. The pool is nice and for the fisherman there is ample place along the river. The 2.2km road is a gravel road an you must take it slow but it is drivable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The most peaceful family resort ever!!! Fishing excellent!!! Swimmingpool and playground for kids. Love it!!!

The park provides various decent stands for both tents and caravans. Electrical outlets are readily available at all stands, with sufficient ablutions. For the fisherman the river offers a bountiful source of various species of fish. The riverbank has a full lawn, mostly shaded and reinforced with concrete. Overall a good, peaceful camp for family and friends to gather.

We spent a long weekend at VCP, loved every minute. Close enough to town to be convenient but far out enough to enjoy the stars at night.
