Should give no Stars.My daughter was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.The Chemo with radiation caused nausea and she lost alot of weight.Her Potassium level dropped dramatically and she started passing out and we were advised by one of the Oncolgy doctors at Flora Oncology department to take her for an intravenous dose of Potassium.When we arrived at the Casualty department and explained that she was a cancer patient at Flora oncology and we were referred by one of the oncology doctors.They immediately went on the defensive and stated that this did not matter.They stated that her Medical aid was inferior and that I had to make a co payment which I duly made.Then the Doctor on duty was very dodgy and I found it difficult to communicate with him.My daughter had a slight cough and he ordered a x ray of her lungs which was completed and found to be clear.They did a blood test and it confirmed the shortage of Potassium.She was already on a drip,all that was needed was the Potassium.It was still quite early, but they then determined that she was to have the Potassium over night.The cost of this would be R21000 and payable before being admitted.We then told him we would take her to another Hospital which caters for her grade of medical aid.We told him that we new that Robinson Hospital,where she had previously been and medical aid covered the costs.We were then told that Garden City was waiting for us.We refused as it was not our Hospital of choice for various obvious reasons.They then plucked the IV port out of her and said we were on our own but they would not organize ahead of us for the doctors to receive us.We had to sign a responsibility form for her to be discharged.We then were on our way.All of a sudden, they then said they would administer the Potassium.We said it was too late and the persons at Robinson were waiting for her.I spent a few days at Flora clinic a few years ago and had a Torrid time.(I should have learnt by my first mistake)Never again!!!Fantastic treatment was received at Robinson.

Hated it ...drove 7 hours to joburg...kwite hungry with the family ....only to find that on saturdays there is no delivery off pies...lmao Cleary no planning for visitors and customers at the shop in the hospital....thats what happens when u have poor managment ....funny i didnt find that in other hospitals unlike the LIFE GROUPS...LOL PATETHIC

Great hospital. They look after you really well. They just need to improve the privacy for patients who are in shared rooms and restrict visitors to two or so at a time.

After 3 months of tying to Register to get the Vaccines finally got an sms to go to @Flora Clinic today arrived at 7am finally got out of there at 11:45 am and what and sh1t show not 1 Gard had an clue(Park in the Road), then one verbally attacked me after him not being where he was supposed to be, No clear Singe, it was an cold day and they except you to stand in the wind selling coffee at are R40.00 each, one of the officials even told an old man to keep 1.5m space and move up and sit outside in the cold so they can bring more in as officials are there and they need to show how good they

I was visiting someone and not a patient. So I do not have 1st hand experience, however I used Google maps to get there so I guess that's why I'm asked for a review. It can get very full during visiting hours as we had to park furthest from the main entrance, and I was with my mom who's much older to walk that distance. Word of advise, get there early. There's a shop, wheelchair ramp and very clean.

During my stay in ICU and general ward I was well taken care of by the nursing staff. Although the hospital is large and extremely busy it is spotlessly clean and well managed

Very neat and clean. Professional and helpful staff. Ample parking, but can get busy during visiting times.

My mother is in ICU. She is 82 years old and the staff is so proffesional and caring!! Taking such good care of her! Thank you. She is very precious to us.

Firstly, paid parking at a hospital, secondly, we waited about 2hours to see a doctor, and thirdly, received no pain medication at all. Please also be aware of a co-payment prior to being admitted (when on medical aid) they are referring to R7, 500.00 for the admittance which needs to be paid before anything happens.
