something is concerning me about the beef mince we had purchased here, there is absolutely no trace of a beef taste it doesn't cook like proper beef mince. it has a strange color and has no taste? is this a mix of meat or pure beef? further more the sausages and wors is extremely salty. I assume the butcher does not taste the mix before stuffing. There is another pricing issues can sweet melon as well as spanspek (cantaloupe) increase by 10 rand in a week and another 10 rand next week, is this because the pricing department notices that it is selling that's why the heavy price increase? How is this fair on consumers?

Food Lovers in Hillcrest was very good for Portuguese provisions, eg Gallo olive oil, chourico, bacalhau, etc. They closed Cowey Road and Hillcrest. Now just same as any other supermarket.
