I decided to give Bihari a try, choose to do a take out option. Sadly, my first and last try.Chicken biryani: bland and without much taste or fragrance. The chicken pieces were fillet, so it was really dry and chewy.Samoosas: this was quite disappointing, no salt, no spice and extremely oily.Note that the biryani does not come with salad, sambal or raita, which is a bit cheeky considering the price of the meal.All in all, it's a hard pass from me.

The food was absolutely delicious. Had our dishes Indian hot and wow as someone who loves heat I was not disappointed. It was so tasty. We were served byTrust who has such an amazing personality. He was attentive and friendly. He is a great asset to the restaurant. I asked to meet the chef to compliment him on his delicious dishes. He was so friendly and appreciative of our feedback. If you're a lover of Indian cuisine Bihari is definitely a place to try.

Last night I had a booking at the restaurant when I got to reception I was greeted like I'm collecting a take away. I was standing there waiting the receptionist .....she was up and down and there was only one guy standing there too. Our waitress what a disaster.....she seemed all nice . We gave our order and then we never saw her again. Then like 30mins later she appeared to top up our wine and saying she will check on our food order. The table next to us came after us and they got their order like 15min later after they ordered. They had a big order. They were done eating ....they paid and everything . I could see our waitress busy on the other side of the restaurant up and down serving customers. Eventually after like 45 min she brought I food. I was livid and very unhappy I asked her about it she nonchalant was like oh was it that long .....I wanted to get up and leave but didn't want to spoil my night as I drove all the way from Blouberg area. The food was amazing or maybe because I was hungry. We got there 7:20. We ordered a bottle of wine. Before 10pm we only ate. Disgusting service this waitress should be fired for sure. I'll never ever set food there again.

Bihari provided a large variety of flavourful, indian-inspired dishes that exceeded my expectations. All the dishes were served warm with a reasonable waiting time. The service provided by staff was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable for a casual dinner out with family. The paneer dishes served here are among the best I've tasted till date. There is also an array of deserts such as pistachio kulfi ice-cream which I'd highly recommend. Had an overall lovely dining experience at this establishment.

What used to be the best Indian dining experience in Cape Town is now unrecognizable and terribly disappointing. My family and I decided to go for an early Sunday dinner. The restaurant was quiet with no more than 3 tables. The service was awful with the staff being abrasive and rude and when questioned about certain items on the menu, our waitress would answer in a condescending manner. She did not make eye contact and would spend as little time as possible at the table. The atmosphere was tense at best with the staff arguing loudly across the room. Our family was intending on staying for dinner, but due to the nature of the restaurant, we decided to only get the starters we ordered and leave as quickly as possible. The items on the menu are more on the expensive side, however the presentation of the food is poor and what one would expect from a canteen. We will not be going back.

i have been a Bihari customer for over 10 years. Today 2023 06 16 the food was superb and almost the service until the waiter added a gratuity charge to my bill which was not applicable.He purposefully overcharged me on a service charge and if I had not clarified it with the manager it would have gone unchecked.Patrons beware, check your bill before paying as service charges are only applicable to 6 pax and more.

Fantastic Indian cuisine! Best butter chicken and naan in Cape Town. I have only had takeaways, but portion sizes are more than sufficient and extremely tasty. Rare find for a true Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend!

If I was going on the Palak Paneer alone this would be 1 star. It was bland and had zero curry taste. It was underwhelming and close to inedible.The samosas were also bland and pretty oily, the naan bread tasted okay but was very greasy. The only reason I would give this 3 stars (more like 2.5 but that is not an option) is my boyfriend's prawn masala was decent. Not great but okay. Overall the food was very meh. We all ordered medium spice but there was almost no spice and the flavor was not there. I don't understand how this has such great reviews, we went there expecting good food because of the misleading reviews. It is also really expensive, 150 to 250 rand per main dish but the flavor is no where near the price they are charging. There are so many Indian places around I would recommend chosing one of the others. The pictures look a lot better than the taste. The waitress was nice, not overly friendly but nice and the wine was good.

Authentic Indian cuisine. A comprehensive, well priced menu, which has dishes for all.Our Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken dishes were delicious. The wine menu is also affordable.Service was friendly and efficient.The kitchen is visabil from the seating area which is great.Definitely worth returning to.

Friendly and attentive staff and a warm atmosphere were just the start. The food was so flavorful and fresh it makes you want to go back again and again to try everything. I’ll be doing that ….
