Shoprite Lydenburg

Shoprite Lydenburg has the poorest till service, their tellers are super slow you'd swear they don't want to work while the queues are long.

They've got great stuff but their till staff is too slow, you will find long cues and you will wait until your feet are sore while they don't care about the long line

All you need at fantastic prices.

Service is very slow you can que for an ±1hr to pay for your items. Some of the staff is rude, there is this other young lady she rushed me to pick the item that I want from the freezer section and told me if I don't get to pick it quick she's going to chase me away. Even today I'm still disappointed.

Tellers are not friendly and very slow. Do not like the parking area and do not feel safe there. Will not recommend going there.

Staff are always friendly with me, but management is poor in regards to staff availability. They also mislead customers. When there are specials like the essential combo, they place non-participating products together if they run out of stock. When I queried this with a manager, he told me they are not selling the special currently. The advertisement was still on the shelf, though. Management also ignores customers and will walk away whilst being talked to (not yelled at or treated poorly, just being spoken to). Lastly, the cashiers love directing people to other tills. They close at 19:00. At 18:00, two tills out of the 5 were already closed and no longer taking any customers.

Longest queues in the country. Always short of cashiers. I have asked the manager for nearly 2 years to create express tills but nothing has changed!!!Poor service

Have to wait in the long lines at the tills for an hour sometimes... very little staff and a lot of customers.

Worse supermarket the stuff don't great you they will say plastic instead of saying hi and they are very slow u can spend two hours in a cue with only 3 cashiers while they have so many tills they don't even deserve this one star

25 tills, only 5 cashiers on duty. Lines so long 3 hours minimum standing.Bring a book if your have time to stand in the line. I've seen people collapse in this shop perhaps due to hunger and underlying conditions. Are the tills that slow or poor management/planning?
