Drinkwater Guest Farm
We always stay a night at the drinkwater guesthouse when we drive from Johannesburg to St. Lucia. It’s like coming home and being part of the family! Marianne and her husband are perfect hosts.The rooms are modern, big and cosy as well as the bathroom. Worth mentioning is the extreme cleanliness. Rich breakfast.We will always come back!

The atmosphere is just too beautiful. It is easy to find. Homely cooked food from breakfast to supper. The rooms are exquisite its definitely value for money. The patrons are too lovely as well. Definitely great for family vacation with rooms that are spacious and a lovely patio

Experience South African hospitality at its finest.Mariaan is a most gracious hostess and provides a scrumptious breakfast to start off your day .The accommodation is situated in a tranquil garden. It is spotlessly clean, spacious and tastefully decorated.Secure and peaceful surroundings ensure a good night’s rest.Highly recommended. Hope to visit again in the future.

Lovely spot for a stopover. Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped rooms (self-catering) and Marriane is a wonderful and accommodating host. There is also some beautiful farmland to stroll around if you need to stretch your legs.

We've read about Drinkwater and now experienced it. YES! Everything previously reviewed is Spot On! Most special, caring and gracious hosts in Mariaan and Petrus. The accommodation is of the highest standard, clean and very comfortable. To round off the perfect South African hospitality, we were spoilt with a scrumptious dinner and breakfast. Our new best half way stop to Kruger! Doubt us? Go and experience it for yourselves!

We spent 1 night to break up the journey between Hazyview and the Midlands, and had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable & warm, breakfast was delicious. Great value for money, I highly recommend Drinkwater.

A very pleasant overnight stay - conveniently situated just off the main road - we found the owners of this working farm to be warm and welcoming. Beautifully furnished spacious rooms and bathrooms with private patios overlooking an expanse of garden made for a peaceful and relaxing evening. Dinners can be prebooked but a small kitchenette with Microwave allowed us to self cater with ease. Breakfast was fresh, generous and delicious. Thank you Mariaan.

Excellent guest house with friendly owner and staff. The rooms is very spacious and has all of the luxuries you would expect at a 5 Star accommodation. The food is of very high standard and the rates is very economical. Definitely worth it to go and stay over. To Mariaan, Luzinda and staff: THANK YOU very much for my 9 nights I had at the lodge. My experience was a memorable one!!! I recommend you to all of my customers and friends without any hesitation!! Keep up the excellent service!! I will be back during my next road trip in your area!!

What a wonderful experience!! Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Owners are lovely, caring and very hospitable people. Gardens are beautifully manicured making it serene and relaxing, just the place to sit and have a coffee or perhaps a nice cold drink. For the wary traveler, this is definitely the place to stay.
