Pablo House - Melville Guest House

I've been coming to Pablo House for years!I've had my last 3 birthdays there and loved every single one, the cocktails are great and the food is even better.The only downfall I found was not being able to drive there (as there is limited parking that is reserved for overnight guests).The view from the resturant makes Pablo House stand out for me when it comes to similar priced places.Just make sure to book!

It is a lovely place to spend in the middle of Johannesburg, but don't expect entertainment. The vibe and design and a nice restaurant are the reasons you reach here and can spend calm, romantic moments, that is what all of us need! The rooms are modern and have all you need for romantic nights, Take it easy here after running around in life in Joburg

This exceeded my expectations. It is in a quiet neighborhood and from the front you would never guess the view that you have from the rooms and the restaurant. The food was stellar and location was an easy Uber ride to where ever we wanted to go. Highly recommend this quaint boutique hotel.

I had the most fantastic stay at Pablo House for my Birthday. The service wasn't just impeccable, the owners were kind and made my stay so special. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The location was amazing with a great view of the sunrise and sunset and the food delicious. 100% recommend.

As soon as you step in, you have left the hustle and bustle behind you and face a warm and welcoming vibe, which was created by the friendly staff, interior design and view of Joburg.

Service is a bit slow, and not very attentive. But the food, view and ambiance is great. Go to relax, and not in a hurry.Go there by Uber or park at the shopping center tot be escorted to Pablo Hoise via TicTic for an authentic experience.Booking is essential, andI personally suggest to leave young children at home. This is not that sort of place.

I'm going to unfortunately have to rate this place at a 2. It's honestly disheartening when you give a place a 2nd chance only to be disappointed AGAIN!First time I had a great dinner with my partner and the only problem was that we had ordered a takeaway after eating our food of which we paid for and never received it when we left. Called the following day only for them to not know about the food we ordered.My partner and I went again to the restaurant that is part of pablo house and had great food, great ambiance but however had the worst communication regarding transportation and tuk tuks. Firstly letting people know there are Tuk tuks and providing inadequate information was a tad bit frustrating. We waited for over 10min for the Tuk tuk driver who never cared to actually find us in the parking lot of which we gave clear directions as to where we were parked.No information was provided on what time these Tuk tuks stop operating and the closing time of the shopping centre where my car was parked and had to collect the following morning.When people make reservations please share the correct information regarding anything they need to be aware of.Your restaurant is honestly amazing but based on having these 2 unsatisfactory experiences on 2 separate occasions, I won't be stepping a foot in your door again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pablo House. Our room was very modern, nicely furnished and absolutely clean. We got welcome drinks after arrival and early check-in was not a problem at all. The view over the city was fantastically beautiful, we didn't expect that. The food, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, was excellent. The pizza was one of the best we have ever eaten. All the staff and the owner himself are super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back and can recommend it 100%.

This place was a good surprise. I went at night so couldn’t enjoy the benefits of what otherwise could have been a beautiful view.They mess up our booking (“it was not on their system”), but ended up accommodating us.The place is actually very nice and beautiful unlike almost every other place in the area.The food was very good, but I believe that both food and drinks are a little bit overpriced for a place that has slow service and not enough infrastructure. (R115 for a margarita pizza).It is, I think, the bar of a guesthouse, turned into a restaurant, so, it has so much potential but not yet there.Btw, curiously there is only one bathroom for the entire place, but it was two toilets in it, put together without divisions.

Really highly recommend, rooms were stunning and the restaurant’s food/ambience was perfect with great views.Thanks Leigh, T, Keith and the rest of the team for a lovely stay.Will certainly be staying again
