Bergsig Wine Estate

Very friendly service, well organised, and some good value for money wines.

Just had a wine tasting at Bergsig Estate. It was part of the Soetes and Sop weekend and very busy. I paid the few rand extra to taste the Reserve wines with the owner. What a fantastic experience. Wines is my hobby and I love good wine. We tasted 6 wines and they were all fantastic and although not cheap, all great value. This is a great estate to taste affordable top end wines, the best in this whole region.

Had lunch with the family under the big trees and they could also incorporare a wine tasting with me (as my drunk for lunch) for only R30!Their wines are incredible especially the Rose and port which i ended up buying to take home.Saw some awesome spaces for an untimate conference or special birthday party. Will definately be back! Hidden gem!

This is a lovely pitstop. Also, a wine estate close to the road so great as a pit stop. Nearby Bosjes wine estate and Botha Kelder wine estate, the triple B's are all on the same road not so far apart from each other.The food at Bersig was basic yet satisfying. The food was also priced at an affordable rate.The wine (red wine) was quite something; although the wine tasting did not offer a detailed description about how their wines are made there is a difference in the taste each wine has, and their port was especially unforgettable.Wheelchair access with beautiful restrooms. Decor had a very dark wood classy feel. Play section for children (jungle gym) by outside sitting area.The staff were helpful and accommodating.

Fantasic Wine estate, very well kept and clean with nice parking area.You can sit and wine and dine or buy your bottles of wine Or even some Sparkling Wine Juice (for the non-alcoholic enjoyers)

The Indulge Your Senses tasting is amazing! You end off with chocolate soup!! The wines tastes really good and are reasonably priced.All covid protocols in place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There's a bistro as well but we just opted for the wine tasting.You have the option to do the tasting inside or outside. Tastings range from as little as R40.

Executed in classic style and still managed by the legendary Mr Prop Lategan, who also still pilots his powerful Cessna 210 aircraft, Bergsig is a must-visit.Wines are excellent, food includes traditional cooking to blend in with a historical setting.A tasteful presentation in so many ways.We bought a selection of excellent wines at really great prices. Also, green fig jam, ripe fig jam, etc. I'd return there in a wink and won't easily tire. Staff were professional yet treated us so well that we truly felt at home.
