Older, but charming and peaceful. Meals were delicious! Highly recommended. Would love to stay there again in future!

Tree houses were beautiful, but need some work and maintenance done on them. Food and hospitality felt like a boarding house experience. Strict eating times, if you are 10min early the door will be shut in your face and if you are there 30min before closing (8:30pm) they just turn off the lights. Customer experience is not the priority here.

Well well well, this is the perfect space to escape the bustle of the city! My wife and I stayed in the Faraway Treehouse for our Anniversary! The venue made our room as special as ever, chocolates and sparkling wine, to celebrate our covenant in Christ! The food is great! The staff are more than accommodating and the doggies are the best (we are quite the animal lovers and that's putting it lightly)! Thank you for the blessed and wonderful time! We didn't want to leave and wished that what seemed to be a dream, could have last longer! Ps. We still miss the place (hahaha). If it allows, we will definitely be coming again! Oh yes, and they are a really affordable place to go especially if you want to kick back and relax!

Quirky and wonderful. Stay in a hand-made treehouse with all the comforts you would expect, even a hot tub (but it's still a treehouse). Every treehouse is unique. The food is to die for, but remember to pack warmly if you are coming around winter.A must try" experience!"

What a wonderfully, perfect little hideaway near to the Midlands Meander. The perfect stop for us on our journey from the South Coast to Johannesburg. Our hosts Gary and Sharon and their staff were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts and dinners we had were delicious and uncomplicated. Our accommodation was everything we had wanted. We stayed in the Faraway Tree, and whilst the stairs were a little narrow there are perfectly spaced hand grips. We had a lovely view of Giants Castle, saw an incredible sunset and watched a thunderstorm rolling in over the Drakensburg all in the safety of our treehouse. Would highly recommend this place. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel don't go, but if you're looking for 5 star warmth, comfort, hospitality and friendliness and character then this is the place to visit.
