Monk's Cowl Country Club and Lodge
Located adjacent to the Champagne Sport Resort, this golf course are aimed at the less serious golfer and locals and is much less prominent than its big brother. However, it is a well designed course and fairly open and makes for an enjoyable round of golf not withstanding your level of handicap. The bar and club house facilities offer great catering and the place is very friendly and welcoming to all. The course is a nine hole course, par 35 and plays at 2 795 meter. Can be recommended.

Golf course review only. 9 hole course. Play different tees for 18 holes. SR 66. Not well maintained. Good for the occasional golfer. For serious golfers Champagne Sports Resort.

Two stars probably too many - very disappointed. Poor service, restaurant not available for dinner due to a group function. Golf course needs better maintenance. Don't do many negative reviews, but unfortunately this one is deserved.

We had a spontaneous visit to Dragons View Lodge for a look see and cappuccinos and probably the best ever Cheese cake I have ever had. No exaggeration it is well worth the visit and the cappuccinos were excellent to.The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the service is great too. Despite it being relatively new (less than a year?) it was a joy to be served as we were.Top notch, pay them a visit you won’t be be sorry. Access is via Monks Cowl Resort.

Awful golf course. Lacking love and attention. Grass on fairways needs cutting, greens were brown, uneven and full of weeds.

Serene and tranquil feeling bringing you back down to earth situated at the root of Drackensberg mountains. What a place to to relax and recharge. The terain, the views, the sport activities including tennis, putt putt, golf, kids play grounds, spacious rooms, the service, pools etc are just magnificent. Just what the doctor should prescribe after a prolonged city life. Had fun.

Restaurant review only. Good food. Well priced. The lamb curry was good. The service was okay. Kids play area (indoor and outdoor). Friendly staff. Would eat there again.
