Grow Abroad

I went to SA last year. Most of the families don’t have kids, and Grow Abroad doesn’t choose suitable families according to the student’s presentation letter.Some families don’t even give you place to hang out with friends, and asking to change families is seen as disrespectful, not matter how much they disrespected you.Grow Abroad tried to make me sign documents against my will, lied to me and my parents and treated me horribly, causing emotional damage. Also, I know a lot of students who where deported.I ended up leaving Grow Abroad and staying with a friend from Cape Town for months. That’s when the experience began to be great.

I had an amazing experience with this organization. They provided all the support that I needed while I was adapting to the beautiful South African culture. I felt loved from day one, and I received all the caring that I wished for. I would definitely recommend it.

I have been with Grow Abroad as a grow buddy and now a grow ambassador for almost 2 years. Over these years they have been nothing but supportive, loving and caring towards the buddies and especially to the exchange students. I got the opportunity to experience so much because of Grow Abroad and their amazing team. I got to meet people from all over the world and experience new beautiful places I've never been to. I learnt so much because of this amazing organization and now I'm ready to tackle whatever obstacles life throws me because of the amazing support I receive from them. Thank you for the knowledge and experience you have equipped me with.
