The kommandoek Harties is a wonderful fishing camp on the water banks. Kommandoek has braai facilities , well maintained toilets and separate showers on site. The facility charges entrance per person as well as per car into the resort which is right behind the picnic site where the ships dock.

Very disappointed to see that no maintenance is done on the dam. Hyacinths have completely filled out the dam. It's the holidays and we are trying to support local attractions but at this rate its not possible

Great spot, quiet, well loved by fishermen. The Beach Bar and Grill is close and offers excellent food. Ablutions are basic. Some have showers. Wouldn't stay here more than a night. I would give it 5 stars for location and view. 1 star for facilities. So a tough one to review. Hope they can put some love into it.

The best camping and fishing spot for me. Always welcome with a smile. Safe for camping with gaurds patrolling. Super clean bathrooms with hot showers. Camps with wildlife... An excellent place to just blow of steam, fish, picnic or camp. The owners are super helpfull and nothing is out of their way to assist.

Good place to come for the weekend peaceful tranquil.it dsnt have electricity in the campsites basic bathroom setup average fishing venue has a shop on site gates open 6am closes between 6/7pm during the summer months.

Filthy toilets, disgusting pinic area, we had to ask for the area to be cleaned, it was smelly and full of rubbish.We had to pay R20 more than the website fee per a person, when we questioned it, we were told the website still needs to be updated. It's definitely not worth the drive.

Ablution blocks are in terrible condition unfortunately. Broken windows, toilets are not maintained and lights not working. Showers with no shower heads. Grass is well maintained and staff are friendly, management is friendly. I can see myself maybe going for a day but definitely not too camp.
