Good quality hotel in Hluhluwe. Rooms are nice and modern. Staff all excellent, helpful and friendly. Restaurant service was very slow but the food is good.Great game tour and tour guide, Cele, was excellent.All around a good place to stay in Hluhluwe

Generally good experience. Food was good. Pleasant garden with bird walk. Wonderful 6hr game drive in Hluhluwe game reserve with great sightings of lion, elephant, buffaloes, many antelope species and birds.Only negatives: one bed looked like the sheets had not been changed since the last occupant, some noise early on the morning.

We were celebrating a special occasion and housekeeping was the highlight of our stay. The room was in immaculate condition with rose petals scattered and a complimentary cake and fruit platter with a bottle of wine.The concierge and safari office staff were very helpful and assisted with every request.Load shedding was accommodated for.Unfortunately thats were the delightful experience began and ended.The pool facility could not be used as there was no visibly working pump to ensure its cleanlines. Water appeared murky.There were frogs hopping around the hallways to the rooms.The food was the most disappointing part of the stay and not by just one incident.1. Dinner - Raw undercooked, subpar pizza, which felt like it took a lifetime to arrive. Well over an hour.2. Breakfast - multiple ingredients were missing based on the menu description.3. Wait staff was not familiar with menu when asked questions.The restaurant manager on duty Maxwell, tried his best to remedy the situation by offering discounts on the meals however the experience will be remembered irrespective of the cost.I hope this was perhaps a bump in the road for this establishment and not a common occurrence.Not sure if i will be returning.

Most things are great and tolerable but unfortunately the tap water is just not one of them. It tastes like it needs further filtration. They do supply residents with bottled water but ~½ a liter is just not enough for a day. Room constantly losing access can be a headache but I liked the forced exercised for my personal benefit :)

Rooms are a bit small when you have a toddler unless you are fortunate and get a delux room. There is a need for a fridge and microwave. Staff and service are the best. I need to specifically mention friendly Zandile from housekeeping, who ensured we enjoyed our stay and made efforts to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She went an extra mile not only for us but for other guests. She is a great asset to the hotel.

Rooms are well-kept, clean but very basic. Great pool area and lots for the kids to do. The food is the biggest down, I was quite unimpressed with both breakfast and dinner buffets.
