What a treat.The most amazing carrot cake. Good coffee with almond milk.Pot of tea.Great service,Absolutely love the decor.Easy access, huge parking area next to the shops. Dog friendly. Outside tables.

have been wanting to attend a Jazz session at Urban Soul Cafe and Jazz Bar for a looong time. Walked past there several times, and heard some live music and I told myself ...next time. Well this past weekend I eventually got to attend a Jazz event at the Urban Soul Cafe with my family and some very good friends. I have worked with the talented and musical genius Ramon Alexander before on a project that performed at KKNK festival and knew that we were in with a smorgasbord of Jazz then there was Gary Deacon on bass guitar who had me sitting and marveling at his musicianship,he made his bass guitar speak to me in a way that I have never heard before and on vocals was Leslie Kleinsmith a Jazz Icon that have toured the world and seduced the audiences with his voice. Leslie was one of the 60's and 70's icons that I invited in 2003 to come and speak to young hopefuls in my Applauz Arts Initiative project about being a performing artist during the 60's,70's and 80's. This was my first time that I sat and listened to his amazing voice. What an amazing opportunity to see some of South Africa's phenomenal musicians get together and set the place on fire.The owner Greg Davids is a man with vision and lots of energy and he is creating a space where you can come and listen to phenomenal talent.The BBQ was scrumptious. We started off with a platter of wings ... divine and as main I had ribs...succulent meat falling off the bone.Our party of 5 enjoyed this event.Thank you Greg, Ramon, Leslie,Gary and our lead guitarist who joined the party later..We will definitely be back ❤❤❤❤

Friendly and intimate spot showcasing amazing talents. We visited on Wednesday for their TDWR night (Talent Deserving Wider Recognition) and we were blown away by the young jazz artists that were playing. The trombone player in the group was only 19 with skills seemingly beyond his years. Definitely worth the drive we took from Greenpoint to get there! Would do it all over again ❤️.

Really nice place to eat out, grab a drink, and listen to good jazz in Muizenberg. We were just walking past & the owner (I assume), showed us to a table. Very intimate atmosphere, the musicians took a lot of notice in the crowd which was nice. The sound is also really well done especially considering that the bar is open on one end.

Love this spot. Great fare, simple, fresh and tasty. Excellent service. Beautifully curated in the Mexican macabre style with curiosities and flair everywhere. Wasn't sure I wanted to share this little gem of a find at all. But alas... here you go. You can thank me later.
