Rooiberg Lodge

Two weeks ago a whole lot of us went up to Rooiberg Lodge on the bikes. It was an incredible experience. We stayed in the loft building which was perfect for our needs. The facilities were excellent. Some of us had a braai at the campsite on Friday night and on Saturday night we ate at the restaurant. The food was excellent and great value for money in my opinion. The breakfast was also fantastic. On Saturday afternoon a few of us went on a game drive which was absolutely amazing. The riding in the area is spectacular. We did Seweweekspoort and Rooiberg Pass and it did not disappoint.

We only stayed in the their back-packer style accommodation for a very reasonable price but they treated us like royalty! The food and atmosphere at their restaurant were excellent. The surrounds so tranquil!

The Manor House was great for our group of photographers. Main bedrooms was from a forgotten era - biggest bathroom I've seen! Views amazing with reflections in the dam visible from our private balcony. Pool looked amazing by the braai, but not used in winter.

Great attention to detail, excellent food and great service from attentive staff. Scenic location and great facilities.

Fantastic little gem in the middle of the karoo. Service was fantastic and the rooms and facilities were of the highest standards. Food menu was limited, but the food was 5 stars. There are hiking and biking trails for the more adventurous individuals. Note the 44km R327 gravel road to rooiberg took us about 55min. Overall the road wasn't too bad, but would recommend SUV or bakkies if you plan to visit Rooiberg lodge.

What a charming place nestled between the majestic mountains with breathtaking views. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. Lodge is wonderfully furnished and equipped. Our party had supper ranging from chicken skewers to fillet steak’s which were tender and tasty. Can highly recommend this to anybody wanting a country getaway to unwind from city life.

Beautifully placed and very well-equipped Lodge Near Van Wyksdorp.The staff are very friendly and the restaurant serves very good quality food.This is a fantastic cycling destination with lots of outdoor activities available to individuals or families in the area.They have self catering chalets as well as a campsite in a beautiful setting.We have stayed in the lodge two times already and will most definitely be back.

Accommodation was much better than expected. The location is beautiful and the service was great.

Rooiberg Lodge is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful nature retreat. With its stunning surroundings, exceptional service, delightful cuisine, and unique olive tour at Mount Rouge, it truly offers a remarkable experience. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

This place was awsome! For a South African, many of the high end lodges are just unaffordable. The location is gorgeous, the Loft rooms are well priced (R500 for 2 people) and there are clean ablutions, a pool, Boma and Deck available. If you are looking for cheaper rates they have a pristine camp site for even less per stand, which individual table and chares, Braai areas with plugs. light and tap, a communal kitchen area, ablutions, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and microwave. The on-site restaurant and bar are a plus and they are Bike Friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Nyala and Zebra walking around in the wee hours was magic. They deserve ten stars!!!
