Beechwood Gardens
An absolutely gorgeous venue, perfect for a picnic party or outdoor wedding/reception. Parking is available outside in the road, though, which isn't ideal in Joburg.

If you in the concrete jungle of Johannesburg and simply need to get away from the busy streets, this is the place to be! it's peaceful and tranquil, ideal for grounding your soul. Haven't felt this connected to myself in awhile.

Most tranquil and beautiful place with variety of flora around the premises. Be sure to pack a good camera as every corner has a photographic opportunity.

Absolutely stunning venue. Amazing gardens for functions. Ample space to host a large group of people. Limited parking though is he only downside.

I loved the old world feel of this beautiful garden in the heart of Johannesburg. So many fascinating rooms each with a unique feel that begged me to stay longer, see more and feel more.Peace and tranquility engulfs one and the many water features and dreamy fountains display a magic in which to lose yourself.Huge pots showering with pastel flowers and all shades of green shrubbery surprise one around each corner and hide in overgrown flowerbeds.Old trees whisper yesterday’s secrets and lead your eyes looking further and deeper deeper. Big trees providing shelter from nature’s elements as housing birds and bees leave one feeling safe and thankful.Blue sky areas where Art deco sheep graze in patches of green grass is charming and made me long for good times on my gran dad’s farm. Then everywhere you will find inviting and comfortable places to sit down, to stay in the moment and to allow nature’s beauty to overwhelm you and left you healed and blessed.

For your stylish events, this is the best place to be.They Got massive Dogs though, the dogs are not violent there.some of us we don't feel safe being around such big dogs,I wish the security will just take them away than try to explaining how harmless the dogs are.

A very beautiful place, and most definitely worth a visit on days the house and garden are open to the public.

I cannot stress enough please pay attention to the very low reviews below. If I could give a 0 I would. The lady that received us upon arrival was incredibly rude. I went there already knowing of the remarks made by friends from France that had visited the place that were discouraged from going inside even when they had agreed to pay for a photoshoot . The lady I’m not sure her name is Nina/Maggie is dismissive, rude, distasteful and then I was told by the gentleman whom seems to own the place that we have to book online if we want a picnic or any kind of event. Be warned you’re really going to pay for something where there’s rats at the staircase and right outside the gate.Either this place is for the 1% or they just want the garden to themselves all I can say is this is why progress in our nation is stunted because of ridiculous things like this. Stay away from here save your petrol and go elsewhere. Sure won’t be telling any friends coming to visit from other countries to stopover here.
