Old Thatch Lodge
The room was nice and spacious, and the beds comfortable. The patio looks onto a beautiful green garden, making it a nice place to sit and relax.The owner, Karin, was helpful and informative, giving us suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to eat at for dinner.Breakfast was OK, consisting of a sizeable variety of fruit as a starter, but the cereal and eggs were boring.My main complaint were their dogs, which I found to be a nuisance, but for someone less adverse to them, the experience could be 4 stars.

Lovely place. They had several guest houses here and a wonderful garden. Would recommend this place if you are staying in Swellendam, there are enough food places nearby.

Absolut zu empfehlen. Übernachtung in einem Einzeldenkmal in Swellendam. Das Reetdach und die historisch erhaltene Bauweise ist großartig. Obendrein ist die Gastgeberin Karin ein Goldstück. Sehr gern wieder.

Sehr freundliche Besitzerin, die gute Tipps gibt. Das Haus ist rustikal und gemütlich eingerichtet. Große Küche zur Benutzung, sehr gutes Frühstück. Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück. Empfehlenswert.

Diamond in the rough. Real paradise. Excellent breakfast together with friendly staff makes this place a great stopover for those who choose to avoid the city bustle of CPT and enter into Africa
