A creative space where you can select a ceramic item and decorate as you desire with all of the materials included. It’s a raher convenient way to get creative without investing in all of the accessories.The prices of the items vary, the cheapest item starts at R200. This might seem a bit steep but it’s worth the experience and once complete you can have a personalized custom item for yourself or to gift to someone.The drinks that available are reasonably priced and the gin I ordered was pleasantly refreshing on a sticky hot Durban day .Make sure to plan ahead because it can take a bit longer than expected to finalize your creation.

Wonderful creative experience, their staff are the friendliest and most helpful I think I've ever come across! It was wonderful, we loved creating our own master pieces, what a great day out for old and young!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place and the service was great but left feeling very disappointed. My bf and I weren't informed of how long the whole process would take and only after we had finished we were told it would take between 5-7 days! We told our waiter that we would be returning to johannesburg on the 1st and he said not to worry the pottery would be done by then. As we arrive on the 1st to collect our pottery the doors are closed and we're informed that they will not be opening until the next day . We asked for a cellphone number and we were not given one. As you can imagine we feel incredibly disappointed and misinformed as it wasn't cheap either.

Pottery Balito know their stuff! Their glazing and firing fundi has things down to a T. My wife has tried many pottery places to glaze and fire items in KZN and recieved such terrible results, until she took her items to Pottery Balito! They use good quality glaze and fire at the correct temp so all her items came out perfect. They are also very careful with handling the items and don't let them get scratched or paint transfer.

0/10I would not recommend the Pottery Ballito to anyone. We booked a table for 6 but when we arrived they were not prepared for us at all. We were asked to wait for a table to open up. Eventually a table became available. While painting we noticed that the paint could not “stick” to some parts of our plates. We were told it is due to the wax of other plates that were stacked on top of ours on the shelves. This has resulted in there being white dots on our plates even after baking. Further, we were promised that the plates would be done baking within two days since we were heading back home after new years. However we had to go back 3 times since all the plates were not ready at once and there was a thumbprint on one of the plates that still had to be baked. They also weren’t able to locate some of our plates when we went to collect. Further, the glazing left bubbles. It is the worst service and definitely not worth the fortune they charge. Do yourself a favour and stay far away from this place. Rather visit clay cafe in Pretoria.

Besides painting your own item while sipping coffee, they have a wonderful selection of pottery for purchase. When I mentioned that the item we selected was a gift, it was beautifully wrapped. A very pleasant experience.

The cutest place for a date!The pottery is such a fun place to visit to experience something a little different!I have to add that the ambience and the entire setting is beautiful. I must warn you though,  we were so engrossed in the paintings we lost track of time and spent an entire 3 hours at the store!The store is decorated with masterpieces of pottery.  Their staff is so inviting and friendly.Oh and might I add , they make a good cup of Chai latte!Whilst unleashing your inner artist you can indulge in one of their many hot drinks offered made perfectly by their batista in store.We can't wait to collect our final pieces which have just finished being glazed.

Very elegant look. Brilliant concept of come paint your own pottery. Yes the crockery is probably not need at your home and if you not an artist like me it's more of a novelty. It is unrealistic to have it back instantly and 14 day is acceptable but some may never come back for their artwork. Not a huge selection of crockery but it is acceptable. The prices of the crockery and the drinks are a bit steep but if this is your thing it's worth it. I personally feel it quite stressful but if you let go of that you would have fun overall good experience drinks and ambiance.

The Pottery was amazing. It was a great experience with my kids aged 6.5 year old and 8 year old girls and grandparents. We were not rushed and the service was great. It really was wonderful the coffee is also great!
