Absolutely useless service. I’m not quite sure what this govt dept does… they tell you they’re able to help but you’ll be waiting at least 2mo until your written complaint is addressed. I’ve just called today to follow up my complaint and the turnaround has just blown out from 8wks to 12wks, citing staff shortages “but we’re doing our best to get to you”. I’m expecting them to get to my complaint and say “we can’t help sorry not sorry”. What a load of bureaucratic tripe.20yrs ago, Consumer Protection used to be an excellent place to go for help and they would usually find a solution within weeks. These days, it’s just another overworked underpaid govt dept. Don’t waste your time.

This review is about an organisation that purports to help readers or clients search and compare for the best healthcare coverage.They advertise in the platform of “starts at 60”, I am over 60 and have used this seemingly false offering with no result.I filled out the obtain a quote form and having given my private data, the insurance compare people then say we will get in touch and they never do!Consumer Affairs and protection, please stop such organisations from misleading the general public. I wrote 3 times to starts at 60 to draw their attention, they just ignored my messages.

My gf and I stayed at perth worst hotel Inner City Apartments I booked for 7 days and stayed 1 night and wont give me a refund. They say non refundable even though it rated Perth's worst hotelCan't consumer protection do anything about this misleading place.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME USING CONSUMER!Got a response near 2 months later only to have someone who didn’t understand and seemed to skim read through the complaint and the desired outcome but failed to get a outcome suited to both parties and wasted my time.The caseworker did not read my complaint properly and made the whole situation worse, misinformed the merchant about the outcome I wanted and information.Protected the merchant the whole time and she was not on my side and she allowed illegal activity across the merchant and their third parties go by even when aware of fraudulent activity she would say “oh that’s so cheeky of them, so sneaky” no that’s illegal.I explained many times when I could get a word in and she still couldn’t understand. She also only sided with the merchants offers that suited them so I closed the case and handle it myself and got the outcome I wanted.Only use the name consumer protection when talking to merchants as actually using them is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.Trader Protection is a much better name, more accurate!

Unfortunately, this service is only as helpful as the person who takes your call. I’ve had fabulous advice in the past but today’s poor, disinterested customer service given by the young lady who took my call was disappointing.Ironic because terrible customer service is what my query was about in the first place.

Wouldn’t was time calling. Old lady here couldn’t care less about the full story of a complaint. Called about a issue regarding eBay that got a little complicated. Long story short I didn’t send a eBay item to a seller due to my eBay wallet been frozen apparently due to a technical issue I was later told. I wouldn’t get paid even if I posted the item. Was threatened by an eBay employee and had $71.16 withdrawn from my personal back account by eBay without a reason as to why. Seller was notified of the issue. I re sold the item as this issue continued for over 4 weeks with no progress on how to lift the eBay wallet restriction, why the $71.16 was withdrawn or how will eBay respond to one of their employees threatening a seller. This old lady said eBay has done nothing wrong I have and I should have sent the item and not to talk about the eBay employee threatening me. Perhaps in future this lady should listen to the full story and ask eBay for the phone conversation or even the half dozen emails sent to eBay along with their reply. You are useless and pick sides with a company who did wrong. Me not sending a item protects my investment but in doing so I made sure the buyers money was refunded from the eBay wallet.Also before you respond to this message get all the facts you don’t deserve to be in this position.End result after contacting a few different law firms to ask advice and seek assistance in the issue eBay has sent a formal apology about the employee and also added both sellers had there money refunded from the eBay wallet which was my main concern and also had refund the $71.16 due to not knowing why it was withdrawn another technical issue I don’t no exactly. As I didn’t want to proceed with my complaint with the employee I was informed since I was a new seller and they clearly seen I had made a mistake with my posted item but was concerned about buyers money they have as a courtesy not banned me from selling and agreed that not posting the item and reselling it els where was a small concern but they understood my point of view about not receiving payment even if it was posted. But because I contacted the buyers and eBay immediately when I noticed the issue and informed them they to said it was risky. One buyer has sold nearly 3000 items and also emailed me saying it a tricky business and just double check all posts in future but also has said he once faced a similar issue. So my message to anyone making a complaint is don’t let people dictate what you say. Also don’t tell me not to speak about something that’s on record. In any business if you threaten someone you are fired! Not sure how this old lady talks to the employees she works with but don’t care you are a dum dum and slightly aggressive raising your voice on the phone isn’t intimidating anyone and I don’t care about your opinion to not tell people about eBay. Look I posted it showing I don’t care about your opinions . Just add salt for a tastier read.
