Deceiving, questionable child safety and limited food options. Value for money is non existent.(Not vegan friendly)Lets me start by saying we waited for a table for almost an hour... Even though there was a table available but it was reserved. Later on we were seated to a table next to this table which was still empty and an hour later disassembled and no longer reserved.We got seated 11h10 and we weren't allowed to order pizza or any lunch options as it was still breakfast time. We were told you will wait till 11h30 before you can order lunch. My children 3 and 1 had no children viable break fast choices and there is zero vegan breakfast options. There is literally no kids menu and the high chairs have no straps to secure your child.After waiting till 11h30 our waitress only helped us at 11h45 and then we waited till 1pm to eat... I ordered a salad (only vegan option, yes one meal on their whole menu) and my kids had chips. The food was bland and there was basically no nuts in the salad which was like 93 bucks... Keep in mind there is no expensive product in this salad since they barely included any trace of nuts.I get why the food is so expensive cause you are paying for it by the hour and you will wait a couple of hours even if they don't have to cook anything.The play area at first it looks nice, however the wheels contain brackish water there are sharp stones under the foofie slide and the sea saw has no seat on the one side. The trampoline padding is torn and coming off. It's dangerous so keep an eye on the kids... and the toys.Overall I won't be visiting again, the rest of the places around this venue is great and I found another cosy little lunch spot afterwards, go there stay away from this place.I've attached the menu pictures, if anyone is interested. Also the weird high chair and broken seasaw.

There we found ourselves in the beautiful Natal Midlands doing the Midlands Meander" when the better half asked: "What's for breakfast?" I was stumped! Indeed. What was for breakfast?We had been out and about for some time shooting early-morning scenes and by nine o'clock that was a fair question. And then we arrived in Nottingham Road and District 103 appeared from the mist.What a pleasant surprise this eatery was. A welcoming open fire created just the right ambience on a very chilly morning. The reasonably priced breakfast menu was varied with some very innovative combinations and the portions were just right. The establishment wasn't very busy

This is a self service restaurant. You order and pay at the counter and are given a buzzer. When the buzzer goes off, you go and fetch your food. Nice and easy.We did not have to wait long for our buzzer to go off indicating that our drinks were ready to be fetched. The food was ready not long hereafter.The food is well presented, very tasty and quite filling.The food prices are reasonable and the speciality sandwiches are top value for money.Fresh produce like fruit, vegetables, cheese and specialty breads are also for sale in the restaurant.There is even a play area for the kids while you wait for your food.There is a lot parking available so that should not be a problem during the tourist season.

Our family enjoyed the food here, nice little stores and good restaurant, just a pity that the weather changed so suddenly and it was raining, else we could've seen more. Friendly waitress, good food, we ordered the beef burger special, a pork belly roll and a pizza, it was great! We had to head home, else I'm sure the live band would've been awesome as well!

Good spot for a breakfast. Pleasant service. Very good cappuccino.

Quaint vibe with great food. The coffee was delicious, the breakfast was to die for and the service was wonderful. This restaurant is a testament to the Midlands Meander

Welcoming atmosphere but food and coffee extremely lacklustre. Visited previously about a year ago and not much has improved. Pity as the establishment has lots of potential, and is child & family friendly.Give this spot a miss, there are far better options for coffee and meals in the surrounding area.
