Venus Pool
Gem of rock pool hidden just after the Bordjiesrif turn. Definitely worth the walk (which you have the choice of a walking the tarred road or through the gravel foot path giving your hiking shoes some use) and a must when visiting the reserve.

Lovely place. From the parking lot its a 1km walk on a broad tarred road. So it's easy to reach and has a rewarding view and a great spot to swim in. Since the pools are only connected to the sea a high tide and are very exposed to sunlight, they are a little warmer and nice to swim in.

There is no tide pool - this is the park place for black rock trekking - real a amazing tour - you can take a short walk but to to the rock it takes one way 45min

Stunning beautiful tidal pool at the end of a 15 minute walk on a tar road (or 20 minute bolder hop along coastline). Plan your visit at low tide to maximize experience and watch as the waves come breaking over the rocks towards high tide. Worth a visit if you are in the Cape Point Nature Reserve.

I was in South Africa for five weeks and loved virtually everything I saw. And this was my single favorite place. It is about a 20-30 minute easy walk from parking along a well-worn road — far easier and less hazardous than trying to pick your way through the boulders close to the water’s edge. The marine life in the tide pools was amazing!

Venus Pool and its surroundings look like if no human being ever touched it. The beautiful pool has massive waves surging large amounts of fresh water and fun turbulences into it. Breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean, and magical rock formations. The power of nature in its purest form - one of my favorite places on earth!

I LOVE this place. My go to place when my spirits are low. Beautiful rock pools when tide is out. Amazing scenery, can get glimpses of Ostrich, Baboons, Buck and small lovely creatures. ❤
