I was told that Brakpan SPCA was helpful Definitely not Didn't answer their phone between 13.45 and 14:00. Message said open between 9:00 and 16:00!!! Can't even leave a message! I won't be wasting my time and phone money with them again

My experiance with Brakpan Spca is not pleasant at all.We visited them to get a new dog as our big dog was either poisend but it was stolen aswell.We were told that they will do a home visit. This is the 1st time in 40 years it happened to us.This morning i phoned to find out when the home visit will be doneI was told that they are sceptic to give us a dog because our dog was poisend and we must install laserbeams.Have you ever in your life experience such a thing.They forever complaining people must adopt animals but if this is the way they going forward im not interested in Brakpan Spca.I will go somewhere else..

If I could give no stars I would. I called early in the morning on Friday to report a very graphic dead doggie on the side of the highway and they informed me that the pick up petrol do their rounds every morning and will pick up the doggie. That same doggie is lying on the side of the road. It's face showing towards the traffic making it very easy to see it's dead, very very sad, especially if children see it. No respect for animals. I called again this morning, really hope that they organize the pick up for this poor animal. If that dog is picked up today. I will remove this comment.

Applied for adoption in January, waited until February. They called to say inspection would be done on Monday. No on pitches up... Calls back, now there is some stories about my adoption papers not being correct, then their bakkie broke, and then my adoption papers couldn't be found. Went to Springs SPCA, but unfortunately once again, Brakpan SPCA has to do my inspection and don't even answer the emails from Springs SPCA.

Highly angry as we adopted a puppy 2 week ago and they did no checks on the puppies health. Took the puppy to a vet and she had tick bite fever and cat flu. Bill is sitting around R8000.Adopted for the greater good and now spending alot more without having the enjoyment of having a puppy.

I made a call to Brakpan SPCA, I spoke to a very helpful Shawn, my heart was broken today, but he set my heart to rest. To think that you need to give your fur babies away because you don't have no other choice, he came and made my day a little better. Thank you

The Brakpan SPCA took my dogs out of my yard with a warrant, that we did not see or know about, based upon the animal act no 71 of 1962. This act basically protects animals against all kind of abuse. We do not abuse our animals, they were not underfed, they are healthy, well fed, with shiny coats. They received a complaint from a neighbor. They had no legal grounds or rights to take my animals as there as no sign of abuse or ill treatment.

I had my worries about the spca as you see so much horrible things. Egnoring this i phoned them to help animals out of a horrible situation. I asked them more than once please don't give my name as I still live in the house. Needless to say they gave my name told them when I called everything. I was kicked out of the house that same day at like 6 with my five kids. Don't trust the spca.
