Worst home affairs branch ever, I was happy I managed to book an appointment but it turned out to be useless, I spent the whole day at that place they went offline at 12:21 I stayed hoping it will get back left at past three, went back the next day very early in the morning only to find them still offline. 2 days of my life I will never get back. I gave up and went to the north in Randburg I was done in 30min.I met people on the queue who told me that they have been coming for more than 3 days straight and they are always offline, what kind of service delivery is that honestly???People spend money to get there and only to go home empty handed. Mr Aaron Motsoaledi your people are failing our communities daily!

Don't have to queue if you booked an AP. Went in for ID and Passport and was done in 2 hrs (Well too long but hey ). AP was for 9am, arrived at 9:10. They print a list of bookings and such ppl are given priority. There was a long queue outside, not sure what it was for, but was advised to proceed straight inside for assistance ( So ignore the queue and proceed inside). Parking is free, safe and sufficient. The Staff is surprisingly friendly, efficient and super helpful. They are readily available for questions and guidance. Disabled persons, scholars and the elderly are given preference.I used the online system for booking and payment, when I got there I went to the assistant who was verifying bookings afterwards I was referred to the other assistant who was allocating numbers. I went on to queue (wait for my number to be called out) for photos and fingerprints (1st process) and application finilisation (2nd process), all in the same buidling. You can change collection office when finilising your application. Please remember to take your ID or copy along. After 3 days I got an SMS and email to collect my passport, and after 8 days I received another for ID collection. I waited for the second msg to collect both.

Passport renewal application went fairly seamless from security to officials inside. Collection was a nightmare. Security staff and some of the officials, including manager very rude and inhuman when speaking to ppl. We were kept waiting outside in the sun for hours when there's a sitting area dedicated for ppl in a shady area inside. They had their meeting until 9am. The manager(without a name badge, not in uniform)comes out to address ppl in queues with such unnecessary hostility and bias. Some of the ppl coming after get to be addressed and jump the queues ? Some of the snr citizens not given priority? Other ppl get to be called from the same queue you are in to be attended? All this happening on the 30/11/22.Such inadequacies should be called out and hopefully will be addressed. How are we as the public meant to be understanding and supportive of their employment/public servants rights and needs if their behaviour doesn't warrant any sympathy from the public?

Today was my first visit to the branch. Pleasantly surprised. A government service which was effective, helpful and friendly. Thank you branch manager for running a working ship. Staff, thank you for your friendly and efficient service.

Arrived at 9am, got out there at 13H30 for a passport renewal. Please consider the elderly in the queue and offer chairs. Take an umbrella as I stood in the sun for three hours before going in. Thugs in the parking lot, be careful of your belongings, thugs managed to grab a cell phone and run off.

Useless. Supposed to close at 16:30 but already closed at 15:30. So typical really. The most unhelpful and entitled. Show no effort of being helpful and efficient
