Fantastic venue. Great location, awesome food and awesome service. Only gave 4 star for room, because it doesnt have a shower, only bath and because the room heater wasnt working properly. The manager Wade is fantastic, friendly guy and so accomodating

Such a beautiful, historic place to visit in the Midlands. Fantastic service and stunning scenery. The perfect place for a weekend getaway or Midlands wedding.

This is an amazing wedding venue for intimate and classy wedding ceremonies (They offer a Chapel and a reception venue). They offer excellent service. Their deco style and feel is more vintage with main hotel rooms inspired by different places like China, India, Victorian and Egypt (The rooms in the main hotel are very few, about 5 of them if not mistaken). However, they have multiple chalets onsite. The downside at this place is the network coverage, especially when the property is packed with guests (like during the wedding). Although they are vintage inspired they really need to put an effort in cleaning the place as Vintage does not equate to dusty.

Tranquil beautiful space where the Be You Retreat with Mohanji was held. The accomodation was clean, warm & wonderfully comfortable, as it was a cold weekend. Plentiful variety & delicious vegan food & snacks was served. Friendly & helpful staff & owner. Definitely a charming & timeless elegance experience here.

Lengthy review incoming!Our whole family recently attended a wedding hosted over the weekend at Calderwood Hall. The ceremony took place in the gorgeous chapel on site. While small, it was cozy and tastefully decorated. The reception took place in the Jardine Function Center, which was decorated beautifully. It was lovely to have the sofas and outdoor seating area set up for guest use in addition to the tables with assigned seating. The staff and owner (Wade?) were present throughout the reception to ensure everything ran smoothly - from the buffet to the pyrotechnics to ensuring the generator kicked in during load shedding, they were on top of it all!The accommodations were a bit dated. Our room was the garden room" situated in a different building from the main manor and nestled next to the cow pastures. The walk to the room from the main manor could use more paving.
