Dr Ricardo Leibrandt (RL Medical Centre)

Dropped off my daughter's chronic medication form for Dr Leibrandt to complete. The receptionist Ashley attended to me. I explained to her that I will leave the form and she may phone me as I'm only staying up the road. She confirmed she will email the form back to me. Everything up to then (very professionally done). However, once I left the surgery, I was just by the window I heard a retort laugh from one of the receptionist in full view of the patients in the waiting room. Maybe because I was straight to the point, never waste my time and always come to the point on what I need done. So their response was very unprofessional. Mind you, my son was also sitting in the waiting room a couple of months ago and he came home disgusted on how the receptionist were talking about a patient who just left the surgery, once again in full view of the patients. Dr Leibrandt you should have your receptionists go on a Client Service course as we were trained at Old Mutual.15:20 pm the same afternoon - After Dr Leibrandt, personally contacting me and inviting me to come discuss the matter with him and receptionist involved. The issue was resolved. I humbly apologise for assuming the retort came from the receptionist. Apparently it was one of the patients wanting to be a clown.#RespectForDrLeibrandt#100%

It's always a pleasure entering Dr.Leibrandt's practice. Always welcomed with a smile from reception and Dr.Leibrandt always has a joke to chear me up even though I'm feeling at my worst.

From walking through the doors, you feel welcomed. Waiting for Dr. Leibrandt was worth the wait. What an exceptional person, friendly, welcoming, empathetic, straight talk, and professional. He makes you feel comfortable and definitely is a family doctor who cares for his patients. I'd recommend him to anyone, especially those who don't easily open up.My daughter has ADHD and although she is under the pediatrician, he still gives me guidance and advice without charging me a cent. Thank you for serving our community, Dr. Leibrandt.

Best Doctor by far!My family and I have been with Dr Leibrandt for around 5 years and I must say that all the interactions has been amazing. He is a really good family GP as he is attentive to the entire family's needs, from the parents to the kids.We've been out of Strandfontein for a couple of years but when we are sick we'll rather drive from Kuilsriver to Strandfontein just to visit Dr Leibrandt because he always gets the job done!Thanks again for all the hard work Dr. Leibrandt and for serving the community to the best of your abilities!

My mom was at the Dr's office in October. She received her prescription for her chronic medication from Dr Leibrandt in that visit. She handed me the script to collect it at the pharmacy. I then misplaced the script and called the Dr's rooms to ask that Dr give me a copy of the script in order to collect the chronic meds, the receptionist was no help. I was told by the receptionist that my mom needs to come in again, to which I replied that she already saw Dr and we just need to get a copy of the chronic meds script. The receptionist insisted that my mom needs to come again and when i questioned why and if that was going to be billed again by the medical aid, the receptionist deflected the question. I asked to speak to the doctor and was told he would call me after his next consult. That was 2 days ago and still no call. My mom went to the Dr's rooms today and the receptionist told my mom that Dr called me to explain whats happening, this never happened. I have not been contacted by anyone since I called 2 days ago

I arrived to Dr.Ricardo after a morning of excruciating pain, through the services of air doctor. Dr.Ricardo provided excellent and professional care! He was patient, thorough, nice and made me feel truly comfortable. He was able to alleviate my worries by providing accurate diagnoses, insight information, and a positive attitude through out my appointment. I appreciate the care I was given at his clinic and recommend him to anyone in need!!!

Great doctor, terrible receptionist. Need to learn telephone etiquette and understand the difference between cash and medical aid payments. Receptionist never mentioned once, the amounts will differ if you pay with medical aid. Mind you the savings is real money too.

Truly a very late post but nevertheless, give praise where it's due. This is the most efficient, qualified and attentive doctor I have come across in a long time. Dr Leibrandt gets it! From his excellent treatment, curiosity,investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what the next steps look like.I was treated in Durban for years with no recovery in sight and out of sheer desperation booked the flight to Cape Town to see Dr Leibrandt.Needless to say I was diagnosed, treated and adviced on next steps on the first visit. And this time treatment ACTUALLY WORKED!!!!!!!!Dr Leibrandt is truly a godsend!!!!
