Virgin Active Gym Cradlestone

Very frustrating to plan your morning every time and arrive at 5 AM trying to train on the wattbikes and not one is working. Why do you pay a subscription fee

The gym lacks so much weights and equipment that it is frustrating to gym @ anything over 20% capacity and to make matters worse it's more expensive than virgin key west which makes zero sense as key west has proper club v and squash courts, saunas and much more equipment + weights. Bathrooms are at least always clean so that is a plus

Overall a good gym, nice and neat and overall friendly staff, BUT the weight section is lacking and they can do with more weight machines like the Hammer Strength machines.As of April 2023 I've noticed that there is less and less machines on the floor! They are taking machines away and not replacing them. Time to consider other gyms like Planet Fitness

I recently joined Virgin Active Cradlestone with high hopes of becoming more active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, my experience with the gym during load shedding has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Despite being a part of a large company like Virgin Active, they have failed to provide any provisions during power outages, leaving me and other members without access to essential equipment like treadmills.On multiple occasions, my wife and I have arrived at the gym only to find that the treadmills are completely powerless during load shedding. Considering the fact that we pay a monthly subscription fee, it is extremely disheartening to not receive the services we are promised. I would expect a company of this size to prioritise the needs of its paying customers and take necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted access to facilities, especially during load shedding, which is a known occurrence in South Africa.Load shedding is a well-known and planned event, and it is unacceptable that Virgin Active has not taken adequate steps to address this issue. It is evident that there is a lack of preparation and consideration for their customers' needs during such times. By neglecting to provide power backup or alternative workout options during load shedding, the gym is essentially failing to deliver what we pay for—an active and functional fitness center.I would like to urge Virgin Active to rectify this situation promptly. As a customer, I expect the gym to acknowledge and address their shortcomings. They should invest in a reliable power backup system to ensure that essential equipment like treadmills can still be used during load shedding. Additionally, providing alternative workout options or extending memberships for the duration of load shedding would also demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction.It is vital for Virgin Active to prioritise the needs and expectations of their members and take proactive measures to prevent such disappointments in the future. Failure to address this issue will only result in more dissatisfied customers and tarnish the reputation of the gym.I hope that Virgin Active management takes this feedback seriously and implements the necessary changes to improve the experience of its members during load shedding. Only by fulfilling their obligations and providing the services for which we pay, can they regain the trust and loyalty of their dissatisfied customers.

Perfectly adequate gym. Clean and convenient with pretty much everything you need, just on smaller scale which definitely has its charm compared to some busy, large, overcrowded competitors. Very happy training there - a sauna would be great though!

When you want to cancel a membership with them you must go to the ends of the world otherwise. Even after requesting a cancellation the process will not be peaceful. In all honesty I left this gym because I was never given a proper explanation on Vitality benefits. Even when I arrived on the first I was never given a walk through on the amenities & all the benefits of choosing Virgin Active. I’m appalled by the lack of information for new customers & the lack of customer service wouldn’t rate them much. Thanks

Very nice Virgin Active. Has a swimming pool and a smaller training pool. Nice free weights section and lots of treadmills. There is also a Kauai restaurant. Staff are very friendly.

Love the staff, the classes are great, it's quite awesome here.

Pleasantly surprised by this little gem... Small but functional. Its is good fall back option - and I don't mean that in a negative way. It's not a flagship gym but a good alternative if you need to choose

Dear Virgin Active CradlestoneToday at your gym a gentleman working for you (B) was extremely rude, he was arrogant and not to mention the fact that he, has not even tried to assist with helping to sign up a new client via your free one train session.Please all be very careful of this gentleman that thinks he's way or no way.
