So glad this place is open again. Probably the best roadside food between Bloem and Gauteng. Freshly prepared and homemade. Just note that there is no fuel on sale.

Lots of homemade jams and rusks on sale, with crafts and gifts made by locals mainly from the Winburg area. Staff in attendance are friendly, there are very welcoming shaded parking bays and the bathroom facilities are clean. Nice off the beaten track wayside oasis to stop by. Small pond with ducks was fun to see.

A bit run down, but very tasty freshly made food and a nice selection of sweets and drinks. The tramezini and burgers and chips are really good, not off the shelf fast food. 2 seconds from the N1

Good filter coffee served with a smile ! We loved the delicious burgers (the kids are aficionados, so their rating was impressive), and I thought my Jakkals special sandwich was delicious and beautifully done. Love all the animals running around. Makes it feel homely. I note some reviews describe it as a little run down. Well it's my first time to be here, and I think it deserves the support. The food was 10x better than a Steers or burger King etc. Thank you for the caffeine kick .... this is a good stop on the long journey, the delicious food and the homely farmstay ambience. Best wishes

Owner's cats were under our table while we were eating, they started fighting each other and scratched my husband's leg in the process. He had bleeding scratch marks. Terrible experience, would not recommend this padstal.
