By far the worst place I have ever lived in my life. The flats are falling apart. The knobs of the tap come off in your hand, bathroom cabinet handles break away from the door upon a simple tug, the windows have lost any form of seal so you can hear everything that goes on outside and there is absolutely no insulation from temperature. The flat bakes in Summer and I can assure you will be frosty as hell in winter. The units are basically located on the R44 and it's like living in the middle of the highway. You can hear every single motorcycle, truck, modified car and moped which drives past. It's dusty and moldy, requires near constant cleaning and caused my long-gone, childhood allergies to flare up again upon moving in. Say goodbye to sleep as well because the floors are paper thin, you can hear everything your upstairs neighbor is doing and a mere step sounds like a rhinoceros pounding away at the floor above you. The company who runs the building has no interest in maintenance or upkeep. We had to remove about 20 nails and tacks from the wall and repaint the walls ourselves. We had to request that they clean the grubby carpets and repair damage to the flat because the previous tenants did not feel the need to do so. The handymen who came to fix the damage then spilt bleach all over the bathroom, ruining our bath mat and a few clothes which touched any surface. They then used my Scanpan knife for God know's what, creating large chips in the blade. No apology, no replacement of the damaged items, just silence from the landlord. Upon trying to insulate my bedroom windows myself the window handle broke clean off in my hand due to complete calcification. If you enjoy a miserable, noisy, dirty living environment, by all means go ahead and live here.

I have moved into a new apartment in Stellenbosch every year for the last 5 years, but this place great and I will probably be staying on.

This place does not even deserve one star. I stayed there for two months recently and it is falling apart. It leaks, paint is peeling off, even though it was painted recently, apparently, and it is dilapidated. Tiles are uneven and the lights on the stairs go on far too late.It is a friend's flat, and it was leaking. I tried to inform the Body Corporate several times (see below) but they refused to investigate it. Someone climbed on the roof one night and found it clogged with leaves and pigeon droppings.The tar is sinking in and the laundry room that they advertise is non-existing. Neither the tumble dryer, nor the washing machine works.This place obviously needs a new Chairperson, because nothing is done to improve it. Except painting it in winter, which is a ridiculous idea.Most of the flats are empty now and no one can find a tenant or someone to buy their flats. It used to be such beautiful flats.If one tries to get hold of anyone to speak to about it, you get to a contractor, whose name I will not mention, who agrees with me. He gave me the name and address of the chair person but said none of the trustees are ever there to keep an eye on anything. They don't care, because they don't live there.This place will be pulled down soon. Everyone who lives there should move and the Body Corporate and Chair Person should pay out that money to the owners.
