MES's ability to support their customers and treat them professionally is seriously lacking. Load shedding was supposed to be a for a defined period, MES brought certain sections of the estate online, but others where off for close to 5 hours (and then off for another two and a half hour, just 3 hours later). Instead of sharing the available capacity, MES decided to prejudice certain customers and not fairly distribute the available electricity resources. No response to phone calls, not apology, no assistance, just total arrogance towards their customers (response after close to 5 hours, Eskom restored all power to Midstream"

MES are discouraging the residents in Midstream to go solar by unnessasary regulations. Residents with grid-tie solar systems have to pay annuly for a COC certificate and professional engineer signoff regardless if there are any changes to your solar system. The residents of Midstream should be encouraged to use renewable energy and help our environment.
