Mediclinic Vereeniging Hospital

In the 5 ocassions that I've been admitted to this hospital this year, I'm genuinely impressed and happy with the service I received

My sister’s child had febrile convulsions this afternoon. She got to casualties at Vereeniging Mediclinic. She sat the reception for 20 min without being attended and no vitals were done. I called and the sister in charge on duty was dismissive and rude and just told me they didn’t have beds….But she never informed the parents of this. My sister later tells me that she was told that if her baby fits again they will attend to her… I have never been so repulsed by their triage system. Should we wait forThe child to have an ICH BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT????

The service in casualty is poor, waiting for the dr for more than an hour’ but there were only few patients. Time spent in casualty was more than 4 hrs. Mind you this was not the first time it happens to us

Giving birth here was a painful experience. Apathetic nurses who shout at you for asking questions. They insisted that the reason my child would cry was because of my energy".Had 1 rushed consultation with a Lactation Consultant who insisted I just wouldn't be able to breastfeed. I had no help or guidance with bathing or changing baby. I was told that I'd suffer because I was lazy. My baby was placed on his stomach to sleep (massive SIDS risk). The night nurses would sleep on duty and get frustrated if one asked for assistance.And the list goes on... And on...I asked to be discharged early because Birth is such a delicate experience

I am totally disgusted with Mediclinic service in the past couple of months it has now happened twice to my family were Casualty staff showed no interest in the sick kids and was not at all interested in seeing them but chose to rather want to put them on drips and draw bloods with out understanding what the actual problem was. I went to Casualty on Thursday night as it was after hours and my son had a bleeding nose and was throwing up phlegm with blood I thought they could give me something to stop the bleeding. The doc or the nursers did not even exam my son when they wanted to put him on drips and bloods . when I stopped them and asked to see the doc the doc on duty was to busy running off to ward patients screaming at which nurse is coming to assist him.There was no care, concern or empathy even when asked for my file and left with out being attended to. It seems they have quacks for doctors after hours and the service is appauling .It saddens me we pay for these services to ensure we get proper medical attention better than Government yet we get treated worse at private hospitals. I am a single mother and need help at night yet got no joy at all. Staff need to be evaluatedand have a passion to work in a hospital first before just being a job for money.

I was taking well care of by everyone very clean and very one so helpful only complaint is that the nurses are noisy and talk very loud

They took 4 hours to come and help us. Had such a bad experience with them. That hospital doesn’t feel like a private hospital. It’s so dirty, the nurses behaves like the ones from the public hospital. The guy in the reception was so rude

My dad broke his hip and had a full hip replacement. He was heavily sedated for the pain. Few days later we gave him his phone so that he can contact us. While he was sleeping his phone was stolen. Would expect this to happen in a public hospital.....We came from far to visit him, the nurses at the nursing station was laying on their arms and hardly ever pay any attention to us, a white nurse came and greet us and helped us to find my dad. Medi Clinic Vereeninging was once a reputable hospital. I am dissapointed.

I had severe abdominal pain and they just gave me painkillers and let me go. There's no need to find what's wrong with me. Right now I'm still dealing with the same pain and I think it's gotten worse maybe even whatever undelying condition is worse. But it's so easy for them to send a Bill. Mediclinic Vereeninging is Kak.
