ONYX Michelangelo Towers

The only reason i give it a 1 star is because for roughly 40 minutes the music was actually good, other than that it deserves no stars. We went for the clubs 1 year birthday. Firstly we got there at 11:40 and were not allowed entry because we were not VIP. Non-VIP entry is for after 12:00 STRICTLY. Warning: the bouncers are on a real power trip so dont push your luck. Secondly its R200 entrance fee which gives you a space to dance dead centre because in order to get a space where you can sit you need to be a VIP. A bottle will set you back a minimum of R1650 and even if you do buy a bottle u still wont be able to rest your feet anywhere, dead centre is where you will stay with your bottle. and whats worse about being dead centre of that dancefloor? its also the pathway for the VIP's to walk. be prepared to make space for people to walk past you every 10 seconds. You will spend more time doing that than actually dancing. If you are a small person beware, u will get pushed, trampled and elbowed in the face a few times. Let alone the club being ridiculously small and solely catering for VIP's you will find 1 small cubicle in the bathroom, just 1. Would never go here again. Ended up leaving and went to Cantare in Monte Casino.... MUCH BETTER.

Service was amazing, dj played songs couldn't keep me off the dance floor and amazing crowd

If you want noise, congestion poor service, bad attitude staff visit Onyx. All that after paying entrance. No value for money at this bar. A place where the young rich hang out. Be careful using visa or your cards as I experienced a scheming attempt.

This was my first time at Onyx night club .I was all exited all the way from Pretoria with my best friend from overseas.So DISAPPOINTED!!!! We Paid R200 ENTRANCE FEE EACH .THE CLUB LOOKED AMAZING UNTIL WE DISCOVERED ALL SEATS WAS RESERVED!!! WE HAD TO SPENT TIME AT BAR SO WE DECiDED TO LEAVE JUST AS WE ARRIVED!!! WHEN WE SAiD TO RECEPTION THERE ARE NO SEATS ONE OF BOUNCERS LAUGHED AT US!!!!!!!SO SHOCKED!!!!!THEY TOLD US IF WANT TABLE PAY R5000!!!

Visited this club last night 17/03/2023 . Most of the staff were ok . There is a man behind the bar of Asian background very good service . I had a good time . I do not however recommend anyone to visit this place if you are from Europe or abroad like London . The security guard of Nigerian back ground harassed me so badly . Such a shame as this place would be ideal if you are staying in the Michaelangelo Towers . Management needs to sack this old tall slim security guard .

Very expensive club. If you dont book a table, there are no seating and you just stand around. Small dance floor. I booked a table but it's not worth the price. They claim to be upmarket but I felt over dressed after I saw that they allow people in with takkies and dressed like they going to a pub.. only thing I liked about it was the location. Music was terrible even there guest artist..

Had a friend's birthday party here and it was enjoyable, although as expected there isn't much entertainment unless you have a friend or someone to stay with
