Tenant ownership

I have used Pentaprop for 3 years as a rental agent, to rent out my garden flatlet. Pentaprop matched the correct tenant with me for all 3 contracts and managed all the legalities and administration, making for a pleasant rental experience. Subsequently, Arie Korf from Pentaprop was very thorough in our dealings and even assisted me with other property related queries around home extensions. I can highly recommend Pentaprop as a rental or estate agent of choice.

Never had to deal with an agency with such level of blatant lying, dishonesty and frankly stealing people' deposits. The manager and owner, Arie Korf, is a completely unprofessional person, non-responsive, hides behind every possible excuse not to return deposits. Despite providing all corresponding proofs, various emails from landlord to fully return deposit, he is still ignoring communication and lying on date of payment. Absolute scammers. Unfortunately, this seems to be their modus operandi, especially after doing some research and speaking with past agents that worked for them and had exactly the same experiences regarding deposits.

I had amazing experience with penta prop, I was situated in jhb and had to move to cpt. Penta prop helped me find a perfect place my cousin had a look and was happy. They send the paperwork over all signed and seal in no time. When I moved it to my place they were there to help. I had'no wheeli bin they arranged one for Me asap. My accounts was always ready and on time. I will recommend them to anyone they are professional in their business Adele

Excellent service.I had to relocate to Durban from Parklands North quite urgently in November 2020. Corné found a suitable tenant for me within 3 days who stayed on for almost 2 years. The tenant had a baby at some point and they short-paid a month or two, but it did not affect me as they would advance some of the funds to me until they could recover the shortpayment from them.When I decided to sell my property, there was thorough communication throughout the process from Estelle, the selling agent. I had to pay an amount in towards the sale, and Arie agreed on an arrangement to pay a portion of the commission off over 3 months since I just had a baby myself.They treated me and the tenant with great compassion throughout the years and always tried to accommodate all parties involved to the best of their capabilities.

I have been with the Pentaprop family since day one and even before the merged as a company.They currently manage all of my properties and have always managed to sort everything out when requested. I have not had any issue that they have not solved swiftly and with compassion. Even when a problem arrises they never have excuses, rather they give me solutions.I have recommended them to many friends, who now have no problem using them to sell/buy a house with a big smile in the end.I have been treated as a name instead of a number, unlike other companies dealt with previously. I highly recommend Pentaprop with two thumbs up!!Thank you to Arie and the team!!

The worst Estate agent I had to deal with in 21 YEARS.1. They 'approve' a tenant with a BAD credit rating (but they want the business so they 'justify' their choice (Without informing me without the BAD rating.2. Tenant moves in - endless problems, warnings and DAMAGES.3. I worked with 3 different agents during a 3 month period (clearly they are not happy with management).4. Peter phones me very arrogantly on 30 July 2021, that I am not allowed to move into my property, the contract states 13:00. My current contract also states that I need to be out by 13:00 - so I had to let my goods stand in the passages for 'their tenant' to be out.4. Inspection gets done, they got NO paper to tick off (at least the agent is very nice and polite - opposite of the rude Peter I spoke to on the 30th).5. I send an email withing 24 hours in regards to damages, I got NO response for more than a week. (Till today Peter could not respond to the problems but the damages R6455).6. 25 DAYS AFTER the tenant moves out, they still never reimbursed me for the damages in my property, after I made it CLEAR (to ALL 3 different agents and PETER that NO deposit should be paid back until I authorised it.Moral of the story. DO NOT use Pentaprop for your property rentals unless you want to be screwed over???

DO NOT USE PENTAPROP. Arie Korf is the executive director according to his claims and the Pentatprop website as at 06 Oct 22. I am a landlord and a deposit was paid to Pentaprop in May 2020 and June 2020 totalling R12 000 by the tenant into Pentaprop's trust account. We paid commission to the agency. The tenant left in 2022. When i requested our deposit, Arie claimed he cant find it? Despite numerous calls AND emails and submitting proof of payment from the tenants account to Pentaprop, he does not revert or on the odd occasion that I call from a PRIVATE no and get hold of him he claims he is sitting with his accountant. My first request to him was on the 25 July 2022. It is now the 6 October 22. He does not return calls and emails. I am not one for publicly shaming but this is blatant inefficiency and dishonesty. This man has no integrity.Potential clients, from my experience pls beware

The worst property company ever, I would warn anyone considering renting any place through them to be very careful. 7 months after I vacated their managed flat and report cleared me and refund due to me and to-date a crook called Arie Korf is holding my money, they are fraudsters, be warned. Arie Korf is a CRIMINAL WHO IS STEALING MONEY FROM INNOCENT AND LAW ABIDING PEOPLE, I DID EVERYTHING PERFECT AMD STILL SUFFERED THROUGH HIS CRIMINAL ACT OF STEALING MY MONEY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDSTER.

DO NOT USE PENTAPROP! Never have I ever had such blatant theft and dishonesty from an Agency. Tenant's deposit not paid over after many months of promises. Then we received a statement of deductions made from the deposit (completely fabricated deductions) and no valid explanation or proof. Our emails and phone calls to them went unanswered. Pathetic excuse for an agency, avoid at all costs if you are a property owner.

Highly recommend.Moved to Europe with Pentaprop managing my property I have in Cape Town. They've taken care of every aspect and I haven't had any stress trying to manage hings from abroad. Everything from dealing with the body corporate, maintenance and vetting of tenants have been a breeze.
