Perfect Slate

Perfect slate is unreliable, I contacted them in December 2018 to do my parents roof. They gave me a 3 year warranty, but the roof have never stop leaking, I have send several emails and they did not response to them. When I called the company they promised to come and they never did. When I call them on their cellphone using my number, they don't answer my calls. What breaks my heart is my parents are old, they cannot be wiping water every time it rains. My advise to everyone is to never do business with Perfect Slate, you will not get any joy from doing business with them.

They did repairs to my slate roof in April 2019. Then after the heavy rains in Nov'19 there were leaks. I tried about 10 times to contact them to come and sort out, but they don't reply to emails, phone calls, messages, Whatsapp etc. AVOID this company

Roof was worked on November 2014. Came back immense times. NEVER on the given time, NO LADDERS. Sometimes not even the right date. Appointments never kept to the specific times.As of the 23rd of December STILL waiting for a call from ELLIOT to tell me when to come back and finish off. He actually told me he WOULD call me the next day. Well 2 months later and new year and nothing, Their service is NON existent. Public relations woman is useless. I have sent emails to ELLIOT, NATHI and INFO. NO REPLY from either of them. 3 SMS's to ELLIOT, same response.And I was given a 3 year warranty. Slate tiles keep sliding off the roof. REALLY POOR WORKMANSHIP. I have to supply silicone and a caulking gun. They do not have.

What was supposed to be a three-day job dragged on for over a month. The workers would not have transport and would not keep appointments, and when they did, they'd pitch up at lunchtime and leave two hours later.They did not have the necessary tools (eg. cutting brandering length-wise with an angle-grinder); I had to lend them my tools and equipment (including a ladder, which was absent-mindedly" put on the truck and hence disappeared).A pitched IBR roof had to be redone with new materials because the workers ignored instructions to paint the sheets with primer. My aluminium sliding doors and skylights ended up full of paint (which was left as-is). The interior ceiling panels started warping and eventually came crashing down after rain leaked in (the job spec was to replace the roof and waterproof/make good). Clearly they couldn't waterproof a lump of chicken fat to save their lives.Oh

I contacted Perfect Slate to quote on repairs for leaking roof. I was uncomfortable with the quotation as I had paid a similar amount when they previously did major repairs to the roof. I contacted 3 other slate specialists. All 3 slate companies provided quotes within the same rage, of R17 000.00, whereas Perfect Slate had quoted R273 019.30 for the same job. Talk about day light robbery.Please note, the star is only given so that I could post the review.

Its not often that people write good reviews, but are usually very quick to complain about bad, and based on reviews alone, i would never have used this company, but i want to change that perception, we took a gamble, and was very pleasantly surprisedI just want to thank Perfect slate for the fantastic service! quick, professional work and very reasonable pricing, Our roof look absolutely fantastic, and the team done it in 1 day.Thank You!!

Terrible .... zero

Bambo the owner of Perfect Slate is one unreliable person who is quick to chow your money. Once he took money from you and doing a very poor job forget about seeing him again. He does not even answer his phone. He blocked me. He is very good is taking your money, very good in making empty promises. FREE ADVISE. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH PERFECT SLATE. I suggest that we all lodge a complain with NHBRC since he is a registered contractor. I have already started the process and I got a response from NHBRC.
