Beautiful hake parcel at a reasonable price. Tastes great, fresh like it just came out from the sea. Friendly staff and the shop is clean. Clear markings regarding covid 19 protocols. Portion sizes will fill you up and not complain for more.

We went for lunch on the 29th of December. Ordered a fish and chips, and two portions of calamari and chips. We waited a full hour for our food! And when it arrived we got one portion of chicken instead of the calamari. The calamari we did get was very tough and chewy, and the fish was overcooked and dry. Very disappointed!

All food is freshly made. Very generous portions for a very fair price. The best fish and chips takeaway or sit outside spot in the area. Best to order ahead of time and then collect. I normally call about 30 minutes ahead. And remember load shedding.

Is the Doepies in Voortrekker Road the same company as De Villiers Street ? Read reviews and went to the Voortrekker branch , looking forward to fresh tasty fish and crispy chips. What a disappointment!! Chips and fish so oily ! We both took off the fried batter and ate the fish. Didn't eat the chips. Not worth stopping there.

Very nice experience. Great variety of parcels. Very good value and service. Food is delicious. The calamari is brilliant. Parcels are huge. Very nice kerrievis and wow they have a lot of other food to buy. Had a very nice russian roll also and bought the longest and yummiest koeksisters!

Magnificent! Stopped here for some calamari and chips, definitely the best I've had in a very long time! Super fresh, super delicious.And the vibe in that shop!The ladies in the back preparing the food were singing along with song that played, and I loved every minute I spent waiting on my order.Such an amazing little place!
