Hi everyone. I will never buy anything from checkers house and home every again! Part from the saleslady(which name i forgot), and a lady by the name of SISI, i had nothing but drama and trouble. After waited saturday until just before 4pm ,the drivers arrived with the fridge i bought , just to find it was deeply scrathed a few places, ànd it was the wrong model. The driver just took the papers demanded i sign and say they will exchange next week. I phoned and after a few calls spike to Sisi, she said my fidge is still in the store room, but will be delivered on sunday morning. Made arrangements with building i stay in, as to allow the delivery on sunday morning. Receive a phone call at 10 am as to say fridge is loaded, they are on their way. They came at a minute before 2pm!!!! Made sure it was the right one, just to discover a big dent on the one side panel. Well i send both back. Will go down in the morning, as i am a pensioner without transport, and demand transactions been cancelled, will go somewhere else, where i hope to get better service and help. This now happened on the 10 and 11 Dec 2022!!!!!

Purchased a washing machine online on Black Friday, based on stock availability- only to be told after the purchase that there is no stock and there is a 2 week waiting period. They should not have sold something that is out of stock!!! On-line orders call centre agent had no sense of remorse and basically had an it is what it is" attitude. Disgusted!DON'T make an online purchase without confirming with the store if they have stock."

Absolutely appalling customer service. No feedback on multiple complaints. No one bothers to even call back or keep you posted. The sale itself was very quick and easy. Surprise surprise.The product and service thereafter horrific. I have been following up for weeks with no resolve in sight. After logging a formal complaint with house and home head office directly, I now find myself in a worse situation then before as they themselves do not get back to me.3 months now and still nothing... rainbow finance is horrific at their lack of administrative skills. Double debit orders. Reversals etc Everything Has been disastrous. If ANYONE at house and home values anything closely related to customer service,get in touch with me. By now you Def know how to reach me!!!!!!

Excellent service. I bought my furniture for my first move from House and Home. Waseem and the delivery guys provided excellent service, from helping me find the perfect items to installation of my TV. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone.

What a nice and lovely store. Everything looks so clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to help you. Everything is on display here and the price you see is the price you pay. They can even get stock from other stores for you. Will recommend anytime.

Do not buy on HP from this store. Their interest rates falls in the category of ridiculous. After 24 days of signing the contract I was charged a full month's interest. NobodyResponds to complaints at all. Lying sales staff. Noisey disrespectfull staff.House and Home 14th Avenue Constantia Kloof signed an Instalment Sale Agreement on 7 January 2023. The washing machine cost R5999.00. Total arrived at was R7929.96. The agreement was to be for 6 months delivery of 6.5km from the store to my house. The item was delivered by foreigner nationals in a private unmarked open old battered vehicle with the front bumper about 5 inches from the ground almost falling off and clearly not roadworthy. The driver battled to start the vehicle as well as driving it was problematic.On 1 February I went to House and Home to settle the account. I asked for a statement but was advised to ask the finance company for a statement. I was also advised statements are only released on the 8th of every month. The cashier advised she could only give me the outstanding balance.The staff was making such a noise laughing and shouting around the store and cashpoint. I could not hear the cashier properly.The balance I was given was R6001.54. The item was R5999.00 less the R1000.00 deposit paid. So in total I paid R7000. The sales lady denied that she advised us that interest would not be added. Interest calculated at 23% per annum on a 6 (six) month contract? We were forced to take the insurance.Is this how customers are treated. The display board outside the store is incorrect as we waited an entire week for approval and still overcharged.Your staff needs trainingYour staff is disrespectful, unhelpful, knows nothing or pretends to know nothing.Your staff is dishonest------------First complaintUnreliable paid in cash for an item to be delivered but waited an entire day despite making tons of phone calls. Liesel who apparently controls logistics is rude does not phone back and makes empty promises. So I had to cancel and go elsewhere this being 2 days before Christmas.
