Durban Seafoods

We do purchase some seafood here, however I had an incident where I was not happy with the product (I really held back from writing this review because I was so angry at the time). The owner managed things professionally and that's the only reason I'm giving a three star review...The lady in store (assuming co-owner or manager) got very personal, irate, defensive and also threw accusations at me which I obviously tried to defend (not going to go into detail)... Basically she acted with the type of attitude one should never display to customers regardless if its a small business or not. If you continue in this manner you will not have customers and if I had written this review for her I would give it a one star.. but as I said the owner remained calm and that's what we appreciated.Please note that for your next customer.

I used to buy from here all the time. They are dishonest, i bought some red fish that was on special during the festive season it was about R300 a tray when we opened it to prepare it. There were 6 pieces on top and the bottom just had tail pieces i was so dissapointed. The quality of the crab has always be good, but mostly recently i bought crab from the and it was a giving off such and awful smell we couldnt cook it. Really dissapointed

Was busy choosing product and conversing amongst ourselves when a rude woman barged in on our conversation and started making a scene about what we were talking about. Good luck in this non friendly customer environment

07/04/2023-assisted by a lady that gave our order to someone else and the store was not busy enough for this to be a short staffed situation. The gentleman tried to help us by selling us more than the initial price of our order. Extremely disappointed in the service.

Crab cleaned, washed and packaged conveniently which made cooking so much faster. Delicious crab curry. Happy customer!Greetings from mossel bay

Horrific experience at the store, claimed to be the owners sister- spoke to us in disgusting tone of voice, shouting across other customers. Called her out on her attitude and she worsened. The Distasteful behavior is why I will never support them again.

We spent about +-R400 on crab from this establishment. On the day I purchased it, I cleaned and cooked it immediately. My whole family including myself had food poisoning for the Easter Weekend. Crab can only be frozen for 6-9 months and I have a feeling that the crab was way older than 9 months. Very disappointed to have spent that money and be sold old stock, especially Shellfish.
