Mount High Luxury Country Estate

Mount High lodge is the perfect wedding venue with a spectacular view.Mount high have struck gold with Santie as their interior decorator and wedding planner/coordinator.With her expert eye and attention to the smallest detail she created the most beautiful boho flower forest wonderland and ensured everything went smoothly.The rooms are cozy and beautifully decorated. When I walked into my room my first thought was “this room belongs in a magazine”.Their chef, Tippie, kept our stomachs full the whole weekend, from a breakfast buffet with everything you could possibly think of to the most amazing butternut soup and mouthwatering lamb shank, mash and veggies for dinner.It was truly a weekend that my family and I will never forget.I highly recommend mount high, whether it is for a weekend getaway or your wedding.

The hardest part was leaving! We had such a wonderful and restful time out here with Santie and her team. This is a great location for those passing through to/from the Kruger area or nature lovers looking for a peaceful escape. We spent two nights in a stable room and one night in the villa and all were very clean, well-kept and thoughtfully decorated. The beds are comfortable and the linen is of great quality. Both the stable rooms and the villa have well equipped communal kitchens so you can make your own meals otherwise the resident cook will prepare a wonderful meal which you can enjoy in the cosy barn with other guests (on one of the chillier evenings we enjoyed wine and good conversation around the fireplace with other guests after dinner). We went for walks on the grounds of the estate where, in additon to breathtaking views and diverse vegetation, we saw golden gnus, a variety of bucks, and baboons from a distance. The estate is pet friendly - some of the other guests had their dogs with them - so don't leave yours behind! Thank you for everything, Santie and team. Our stay at Mount High was beyond amazing, apart from the beautiful setting the staff really make this place extra special! Ronel, so welcoming and heart of gold! We booked Tippie Enslin to privately cook for us- OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Tippie made our trip! His food was fantastic and his friendly company was great! a trip my husband and I wont forget!

This was our second time staying at Mount High, and just like our previous time, it was superb! Santie and Tippie made our family feel extremely welcome. They went out of their way to make our Christmas special, with amazing food, beautiful table decor and flowers along with every meal. The villa we stayed in was stunning, with every room having a beautiful view over the horizon. The staff are professional, friendly and looked after us at every turn. I would recommend this 5-star luxury experience to anyone, we will definitely be returning for visit number 3.

First time at Mount High, absolutely incredible. We booked the main house and it was money well spent, to say the least. It was amazing. The staff were incredible, very friendly, always keen to have a good laugh and share a smile. Santie was an utterly amazing host, made us feel more than comfortable and made us wishing we had booked for longer. All I can say is that you will definitely see me back. I cannot wait for my next stay at Mount High. Thank you!

Mount High Luxury Estate is an absolute gem ! Santie and her team make you feel very welcome. They create a delightful atmosphere of relaxation and warm human interaction. The estate and the rooms are gorgeous and inspiringly tasteful. The food is great and generous. Nature around is of revitalizing beauty and untamed majesty. Strolls or runs in the estate's reserve are magic : herds of wildebeest, of 3 different species of antelope, troops of monkeys... And the landscape.

We had a great stay at Mount High.The house, the team and the view are amazing. Everyone is really welcoming, the atmosphere fantastic and everything is just really easy going. We had also a beautiful breakfast in the morning.The amazing sunset you can enjoy with a beer or glass of nice wine.

Enjoyed a two-day stay over the weekend while visiting Joburg for work. Amazing experience that I'll never forget. Breathtaking views throughout the property. Great hiking and wildlife viewing. The food and hospitality were over the top. Highly recommend the next time you are visiting Joburg, either for an overnighter or as a half way stop to Kruger.

Stayed overnight on our way to the Kruger National Park. Worth mentioning that you must drive 15-20 min on a dirt road, which might not be very practical with a small rental car. Once you get over that, you are rewarded with the most amazing panorama, the kindest hosts, and the cosiest stable rooms. Really worth having dinner and breakfast here, the homecooked food was divine and the owners make you feel really a home.
