Compared to other nearby branches, this store feels small and congested. Staff aren't usually visible but are helpful, when ypu do get them and the cashier queues do build up through the store, which makes walking through the store worse to walk through.The pharmacy self medication queue although not very busy at times, can take a good 10 to 20 minutes, as there's usually just 1 or 2 people helping.

Pinky the cashier is amazing. Best customer service I have ever seen in a retail store. Well done. You would do well to grow and nurture this employee. Samsung Pay works at the store and thanks to Pinky for educating me - sometimes you don't need the NFC symbol for it to work.

The Indian nurse at the wellness clinic is so rude and impolite, I went to the clinic to seek help but she kept telling me can’t help without even hearing what was wrong with me. I’m so disappointed and I don’t even know if she was being rude just because I’m a black person because she even left the room while I was still talking to her did not even excuse herself.

The shopping experience cannot be worse than their Fragrance/Beauty section: staff there are on their phones or chatting amongst themselves, not aware that a customer is in front of them.When I requested their assistance, I was redirected and sent around the counter multiple times (back and forth), as certain computer systems did not work, before one was found and I finally made the purchase.

Hi. So yesterday I visited the Dis Chem in gateway. My mum was in a wheelchair and I found it very hard to maneuver it as the store is very congested. I kept knocking into everythit is the most congested store I have been to. ng. It is definitely not wheelchair friendly. I

This place gets really busy so using a trolley would be difficult. but There are always people there to help me find what I am looking for. If you don't mind waiting at the till then it works quite well and some people really like their promotions. the cashiers are nice and do well to communicate with you. The store is clean and well stocked. The protein shake isle is quite busy best avoid that area if you not into gym supplements. The breakfast cereals are vast. Parking closest is quite busy especially on weekends. Overall well done to all staff.

Good day sir/mamI trust this email finds you wellI visited your Gateway Mall store this evening and was assisted by Mr NiveshI get my chronic meds from this branch for many years without any problemsI explained that my scrip has been delayed for some odd reason and after me calling Discovery Medical Aid earlier I was told that it was all in orderI asked Mr Nivesh to please check as I needed the insulin urgently and I didn’t mind paying cash as I had my last dosage for tonight onlyHe asked for my ID number and checked on the pcHe then asked his assistant who I believe that she was in chargeTo my amazement, she never acknowledged or greeted me.I felt like I was just pushed awayShe and Mr Nivesh had their own chat with she hiding her smiles and laughs behind her mask as they both had joy in seeing me aggravated.After much debating and me threatening to bring this to the favourable attention to the customer care department as all senior managers were ”off” for the weekend, i was finally given two insulin pens for cash with a few other items I needed as over the counter medicationSeeing how upset and irritated I was , Nivesh still tells that I must complain as I have the right to complainInstead of calming myself as a customer he had this don’t care attitude.He further tells me that I have an agreement with Medexpress and not DischemTotally disgusting!I get good service from some of the other older staff that know me by my name which makes me as a customer feel importantI trust this will be to your consideration as poor customer service is the last that any business needs

Like most other dischems, nothing bad to say about them. They do close the pharmacy with the shop so on the weekends this is center hours for gateway, I. E. 9pm.(last I checked)Telephones take very long to be answered but they do answer and pharmacist/assistants are helpful

This pharmacy has a no care attitude towards its customers. Pathetic and unreliable service. After 20 years with Discem this pharmacy has given me little choice but to go elsewhere.

Today we went to buy a home blood pressure machine which was advertised for R395 online. Got there and the staff was extremely unhelpful, they brought one from the back and we took it to the till and they said it was not R780. We spoke to the manager and showed him the price and discount but he refused to help and was extremely unhelpful so we had to drive all the way to the Cornubia branch where we managed to get it for the correct advertised price. Extremely disappointed with Dischem Gateway's service and Manager.
