Great sighting! The different shapes due to erosion are just amazing.Sandy road but plenty of parking space.Ecotoilets are clean. One bench to have lunch or just coffee. The walk to see the caves is sandy but easy.

You visit this place at the same time as the rock painting 15 mins walk away... These caves are just breathtaking. It is a labyrinth of beautifully marked and easy to walk trails between and under and through the most stunning rock formations. We literally needed two hours because we stop at every little turn to admire the light, shapes, views etc. Very powerful spot. And the nature is just wow.... I am not a big connoisseur of flora but every bush was a new flower, leaf and aroma... Suddenly understand why they say that this tiny speck of land is one of the most diverse habitats in the world in terms of flora.Absolutely loved it and had we not been focused on hiking in the area we would have come back for more

An excellent area to explore. Very unique rock formations, good walking tracks and the San Rock art. Lots of Dassie in the area too. Need to purchase permit before entry.

Absolutely stunning and well worth the drive. Made it all the way there and back from Tulbagh via Citrusdal, returning via Ceres.Would be well worth spending a few days in the Cedarburg to enjoy it and all it's glory. A day trip was definitely not enough!

Amazing rock formations. A must see. Had a picknick in the shade of the rocks. Gravel road from Algeria to Stadsaal caves. About 40 km from Algeria. Permits available at Sandrift camping Reception.

Such an impressive rock formation, the exterior as well as the interior and the surrounds of this historic landmark. Parking is easy and plentiful, just absolutely not a spot of shade in sight. I was pleased to see the walkways previously so random being directed by stone marked weddings as well as seeming re-vegetation being done all over to restore the integrity of the area with endemic planting.

Amazing rock views. The formations of these rocks are so beautiful. There’s also such a big area for you to explore - with many routes and rocks to climb onto. All paths lead back to the parking area. I had spent about 2-3 hours walking around, taking photos and climbing high rocks for the views. Would definitely recommend! Do wear a warm jacket though because it can get very windy and cold up there.

Amazing natural attraction! We went on a very cold and windy day but understand that it can get very hot as well. So much to do and see for you kids. The area can be tricky for really young kids but from 5 and up they will have a ball! Take water and maybe even something to snack. Clean up after yourself and take your time!
