Booked online (and paid) for the Tierkloof over-night hike. 2 days before the hike, we called the reservation center to make sure that no changes have occurred and we were assured that everything is alright.we drove all the way from cape town just to find out at the reserve that the trail had been closed for at least 5 days due to heavy rains. We turned back disappointed, and asked for a refund at least. it's been a week, and haven't been refunded and they stopped replying to our calls.

It would be good for Cape Nature if they see it as a honour to looking after our beautiful nature as custodians and it's a privilege to serve the planet and so the people who visit. Not to purely see nature as a commodity to sell access to and talk to visitors as if they are intruders. With rigid minded approach to how many hours you're allowed to visit on a trail in order for them to manage they're admin. It takes a way the enjoyment of relaxing and especially when driving far to visit a trail to feel pressured to not enjoy the time there without a rush.Putting up signs in mountain nature trails to forbid swimming (sad to see), and close access to numerous trails unless paying R400 for kloofing" options in the same area on different trails which aren't available to even hike to

Responsive, but they cancelled my booking a few times (because f COVID) and then asked me to pay MORE MONEY because their prices went up when I tried to rebook. Asked for refund and then they throw all sorts of admin and forms at you to make it more difficult (get signed letter from bank to get refund...). *Update: After weeks of back and forth they finally refunded like they should have just done in the beginning.

The Head Office is completely out of touch with their reserves.I phoned to book a two night hike and was told the reserve is closed.I then phoned the reserve itself and was told I am welcome and can hike and camp whenever I wish.Inefficiency at its best. Good luck, guys. Lucky the tax payer will always bail you out.

Samantha who I phoned on the 10th of this month seemed very helpful in getting me the freshwater angling permit. Thank you Samantha. Keep up the good work!

This company has super bad service, I am very disgusted and disappointed with the handling of our bookings, we booked and reserved 4 cabins at algeria nature reserve way in advance they have now contacted us 2 weeks before the holiday advising they have to cancel due to maintenance, they are not responding to us and there seem to be issues with refunds? Like what? Are this people serious , they are disgusting! Please be aware when booking with them, they are inhumane. I am seeking legal action towards them

We have just returned from a short stay at Goukamma Nature Reserve. What peace and quiet sitting on the balcony with views over the river estuary. The fully equipped accommodation is exceptionally good but the real pleasure was the ever obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble and when we wanted to extend our stay they made every effort to sort it out through their head office. Well done Cape Nature, we will be back.
