Brackenfell Athletics Club

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank all Brackenfell Athletics Club for the one guy who portrayed out of this world sportmanship. I was running 42km at Kasteelberg. As I was on my last stretch to the end, I felt this pain on my chest. I thought it would go away and I could see the finish line in my mind. In less than 1 minute, I got worse. I stopped, but the cramping was everywhere, my face, my hands,short of breath etc. Pity, I couldnt get the guys name because at this stage I couldn't even speak. He signalled for help and the only people who stopped were his team members who picked me up to go seek medical help. Thanks to you my guy. I know you would have done a better time but you gave that up. Thank you.

Had an awesome trial run at Brackenfell Atheletic club. The members were friendly and welcoming. They have an awesome clubhouse with a bar and braai place. They also offered free water and coke after the race.

Best club in Western Cape

Attended a Brackenfell Running Club event last month 11th February at Curro High School Durbanville. Stuff was stolen out of my vehicle. The day when it happend the Brackenfell organizers didn’t even come out to the vehicle to check what happened. The club has advised that they are aware of syndicates targeting running events. Wished they would have added more security since they were aware of these issues.
