True gem in your Africa experience. Wonderfull staff and comfortable tents to stay in

We spent two nights in this lovely resort as a family. The staff are very friendly and caring. They looked after all our needs. The tented rooms were well equipped. Lovely outside bath and shower. Meals were great. Game drives on the Falaza reserve as well as within Hluhluwe was great. Steve our guide showed and taught us a lot and was great for our little kids. Day trip to False Bay reserve was also amazing for a picnic. Would love to go back!

We just completed four nights at Falaza and loved every minute of our stay. The resort is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. Sitting poolside and enjoying a cocktail while nyala, giraffe, and other game walk the grounds was incredible. We stayed in the family unit (tents 13 and 14 with a shared deck) and it was a perfect setup for our family.The game drives were fabulous. We’ve done many safaris throughout South Africa and Steve is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable guides we’ve ever had. The False Bay walk with him was also great.Perhaps the best part of our stay at Falaza was the food. Every meal was incredible. Each night at dinner there were at least five main courses on offer and the menu changed daily. Everything we had was on par with any meal we’ve had in some of the nicest restaurants in Gauteng or Cape Town.Lastly, the customer service throughout the week was top notch. From the moment we arrived, the reception, housekeeping, wait staff, and guides were all more welcoming, professional, and accommodating than the staff at any other game lodge we’ve visited.We have nothing negative to say about Falaza. We’re sad to be leaving and already looking forward at the calendar to see when we can return.

We whistle-stopped (?!) for a couple of nights at Falaza - including a night-drive on the property, a morning drive in the nearby Hluhluwe (big 5) park and some sun-downers on a boat neat St Lucia.We had an excellent time and the rented accommodation was charming.Thank you to all the staff there - everything was perfect!

We went away for the peace and quiet, which is exactly what we got! Pure bliss!Lovely luxury tents with stunning outdoor shower and bath, as well as a deck to have our morning tea and coffee.Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, our knowledgeable game driver ensured we had a successful game drive with many sightings.The food was absolutely delicious!!There are various activities available but we preferred doing nothing and just enjoyed the peaceful nature of the park.Staff were always available to assist but never intrusive.Will DEFINITELY be back to visit soon!!Highly recommend!!!10/10 rating from us!

Staff are incredible. They are so friendly and welcoming.Falaza is a wonderful place to stay. It is a very easy 30 minute drive to Hluhluwe game park. Beautiful place, delicious food, lovely swimming pool, spacious rooms.Will definitely come back.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and my husband mentioned it on booking but no one seemed to have acknowledged it. The setting is very beautiful, and for a four star rating we had high expectations, but we left thinking we probably should have stayed somewhere cheaper and saved the extra pennies.Things we liked:Beautiful settingLovely menu with great choice and delicious foodSun loungers by the pool for some R&ROur cosy tent - had everything we neededThings we didn’t like:Being woken at 7am on our last morning by workmen moving bricks which had been sitting in a pile near our tent since we arrived - this isn’t what we expected in four star accommodationThe misleading wording on the website about tours - regarding full board stay it says “Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and guests have the choice of one of the following activities (per person per day): Falaza Game Drive, False Bay Walk or a Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Drive”. When we arrived we were told we could only do the Hluhluwe game drive, and not anything else. We felt very mislead.Slowness of service - for every meal we waited over an hour before we even got so much as a drop of water, let alone food! Again, really not up to four star standard.No way of knowing if there’s availability for a tent with an outside bathroom, we were really disappointed there weren’t any, and that we still paid the same price for one without.It was a long trip to the Hluhluwe game reserve. 1/3 of the tour time was spent travelling.I wouldn’t return here again. I think they need to do some work on reaching true four star standards, and I’d stay somewhere nearer the Hluhluwe reserve and save some pennies.
