Meerhof Wines

We had a tour of this winery, and after the tasting, I had three favorite wines. The food was not that great but I recommended that they add a cheeseboard.

The wine isn't good but I found the wine in the entire region was a let down.The first time we went it was closed.Only 1 server so service is slow. Better to sit inside for better service. The best part of the visit is the view which is incredible.

Extremely poor service, we waited 2 and a half hours for our food, and had to go fetch our own refills for our wine tastings as the poor waitress couldn't cope alone. It was not busy at all, only 3 other groups there. I wish the waitress had told us service would be slow or come to check up on us as we had other wine farms we also wanted to visit and could not make it there in time. Swartland Winery service was great as was Kloovenburg Estate to which we will return but never again to Meerhof Wines, very disappointed.

Great venue with great view, delicious food and great wine selection. Very affordable.

Keanan, you are the type of individual that every business will give an arm and a leg for to have as an employee. Even though it was in loadshedding time, you ensured that the kitchen staff was able to prepare our food. You have knowledge of the product you sell, very sharp and witty and your sincerity is a breath of fresh air in this world where so much negativity is going around. Kudos on recommending the chicken pizza. The burgers and pizza was very tasty. Yes, its a wine estate so we had to get a few bottles of wine off course! Excited about drinking my bottle of Rosé.Would we recommend others to visit Meerhof?.....Yes ! ......Will we visit again?...100% Yes....

Great range of wines, great views! Must stop when visiting the Riebeek Valley in the Swartland.

Meerhof Winery recently changed ownership and we stopped off for a wine tasting over the weekend. Didn't know that they have a restaurant too, will try their eats another time. The lady that offered the tasting stood over us, bit wierd but hey, she was super friendly! The Chardonnay is unusual and worth buying a few bottles. They also have the best views, both of Kasteelberg and towards Table Mountain in the opposite direction.

Great food, lovely wines and friendly staff - not to mention the view. I thought charging for wine tasting could have been been better if you received back the fee if buying wine. That was the only negative for a great visit!
