Ismail's Towing

Ismael's service included collecting me, my car and the trailer I had been towing from Touws River (Western Cape) in the early hours of a Monday morning and returning us to Somerset West about 160km away, providing a complimentary coffee and muffin along the way.Having to get your vehicle towed is a bit like having to go to hospital - something's gone wrong and it's difficult to see the bright side. Ismael's people were helpful, kind and considerate and their service efficient, professional and safety-conscious. That's about as good as it gets after your day starts as badly as mine did, so if I could plan my next breakdown, the plan would definitely include these guys.

Very friendly and helpful towing service. Our UNO was stuck at a dangerous part just after the Hugenoot Tunnel, but Ishmail's Towing service responded quickly and got us to safety. The men were friendly, helpful and reassuring in a very stressful situation.

I would like to thank Hylton for bringing both me and my vehicle safe to our destination. However, I will never use this company again.Once we arrived at the delivery location, Hylton said that I must make an immediate payment for the delivery, to which I requested an invoice so that I can make payment. He indicated that the office is closed and that I must make payment and he’ll send me the invoice and receipt the next day. I responded to say that it won’t be possible to make a payment without an invoice and asked if I could speak to the owner. He provided me with Esop’s information.I called Esop and explained that I wanted to make the requested payment and would like an invoice. He said that his office is closed and would not be able to provide me with an invoice until tomorrow. He indicated that he would not employ staff over the weekend to generate paperwork. I indicated that I would be happy to make the payment as soon as I received the invoice the following morning, to which he started yelling at me and threatening that they would take my vehicle back to their yard until I made payment and it reflected in their account. Bare in mind that he wanted to remove the vehicle to Worcester and then charge me for two deliveries (because he “delivered” a service twice. I asked that he should calm down and speak to me civilly, but he continued with his threats.After a traumatic event, the last thing you want is to be threatened by the likes of this “so-called” businessman.As a businessman myself, I understand that if a client agrees to a price for services rendered, it must be paid in full once the service is rendered and I believe this to be fair. However, requesting payment without invoice and demanding “immediate payment” if you don’t bank with the service provider’s bank is outrageous.

My vehicle broke down 46 kms before Worcester on 16/8. I Googled a tow in service, and found Ismail's - needles to say......professional, friendly, the very best. Michaan in the office, and tow truck driver - Bertrant were the best part of my day. Thank you so much for staying in touch, checking on us (2 ladies & 3 small doggies) and assisting us in EVERY way!
